The corner of Li Xing's mouth curled up.
A cunning glint flashed in Li Xing's eyes.
"I've been waiting for you to make that move."

The two sounds reached Li Xing's ears almost one after the other.

It swiped at him fiercely with one claw.

But the dinosaur had gone for its unharmed right eye. Li Xing had seized the moment and made it hurt itself.
Seeing the dinosaur blinded in both eyes, Xiao Wu and the dog-headed Ashu collapsed onto the ground, too weak to run.
Li Xing sighed inwardly.
He swung upside down, hooked his legs over a branch, and quickly climbed down along the trunk.
Whoosh!
A sharp sound cut through the air as the dinosaur slammed its tail into the tree trunk. Leaves rustled down.
The trunk couldn't take it any longer. It cracked apart with a series of sharp snaps.
Li Xing took a deep breath, then coughed violently.
"Damn, it's all dust!"
After grumbling, Li Xing planted both feet on the ground and sprang toward Xiao Wu and Ashu like a released spring.
Skimming low over the ground, he grabbed them, one in each hand, and ran for his life.
With his current strength, he was no match for the dinosaur.
Most martial artists were stronger than him, too.
After all, with a battle power of 6, he couldn't even withstand a firearm.
Any martial artist with a little strength could dodge bullets and take a few hits, couldn't they?

"Roar!"
Behind Li Xing, the blinded dinosaur roared wildly. Ignoring its pain, it followed the scent of Li Xing and the sounds of his footsteps.

What could two people afraid of dying do? They hurriedly covered their mouths and looked at him pitifully.

The river wasn't very deep, so it certainly wouldn't stop the dinosaur.

Xiao Wu and Ashu hadn't even had time to catch their breath. At the sight of this, they trembled with fear and didn't dare speak.
Li Xing, on the other hand, grinned, baring his white teeth.
"This beast's pretty clever.
"Too bad."
After securing the two deadweights, Li Xing went upstream, quietly making his way toward the dinosaur.
This was a great opportunity.
With its eyes ruined, the dinosaur posed far less of a threat to him.
The noisy river and the wet banks, unable to bear the weight of a behemoth like the dinosaur, made this the perfect place for Li Xing to fight it.

The dinosaur charged toward Li Xing, jaws gaping wide. "Roar!"
Li Xing cursed under his breath.
It was blind, yet still so alert and powerful.
He really didn't know how Sun Wukong had managed to kill dinosaurs so easily.
Wait, aside from Sun Wukong, Flute Demon Child and Son Gohan had managed it when they were very young, too.
These thoughts raced through Li Xing's mind, but he didn't dare let his guard down.
He gathered his strength and focused. Li Xing bent down and plunged both hands into the river.
He drove his strength through his waist, sending water spraying everywhere.
Li Xing also activated his Devouring Power, plunged into the river, and stared wide-eyed as he shot toward the dinosaur.
The Devouring Power spread over Li Xing's body, leaving him free of resistance. In the river, he moved like a fish, darting beneath the dinosaur in the blink of an eye.
