"Oh, my dear, why do you pursue the word 'elegance' so relentlessly?"
After listening to Coleman's statement, Ku'er Ya felt a mix of surprise and curiosity.
Shouldn't slaughter be a bloody affair?
Why did this man attempt to make such a thing elegant?
Even he himself only appreciated the final work of art.
As for the process, it was inconsequential.
After all, in the creature known as a human, there was not a single clean or beautiful part.
To be turned into dolls using their broken, wretched bodies—they should be grateful for that.
Cold-hearted and even arrogant, Ku'er Ya never felt there was anything good about the human species.
Oh, no, perhaps they did have their beautiful moments.
For instance, when they were transformed into stiff yet artistic dolls.
"Because slaughter is, by nature, an elegant affair."
Coleman set down his teacup, the corners of his mouth curling just right.
Noble and dignified.
Like a royal count.
In every gesture, his arrogance was on full display.
Being kind-hearted, Coleman was willing to enlighten this lamb who had lost its way.
"You should possess eyes that are adept at discovering beauty; do not view beauty in such a one-sided manner."
Colorful flowers and rainbows hanging high in the sky—that is beauty.
But what of a corpse that died an unnatural death yet wears a smile?
A scene where blood stains the ground and bones are arranged in peculiar patterns.
Is that not also beauty?
Terrifying, eerie.
But quite beautiful.
Hope is beauty.
Despair is also beauty.
A happy scene makes one yearn for it.
A desolate scene is even more intoxicating.
Is it not?
When you transcend the world.
You will discover that everything is so beautiful.
So, why not try to look at this world from a different angle?
Though it may seem unconventional, or even incredibly eccentric.
If you think this way, you will find that the situation is vastly different.
For example, in this drifting world, everyone is muddled and confused.
Only you, only you are different.
You are clear-headed, you are standing on high ground.
Looking down upon this world.
In that moment, you and I shall both be gods.
So, why can you not appreciate everything those insects do?
"My good sir, if you truly wish to try and detach yourself from the so-called human collective, you must first try to affirm them."
With a pointed implication, Coleman was familiar with what this man was experiencing.
He was transforming from a mindless madman into a rational one.
Coleman decided to give him a hand.
This was a transformation of thought.
He would not mind having one more interesting peer.
Besides, wouldn't helping a madman grow be even more interesting?
Ku'er Ya frowned, not understanding: "Why should I affirm the actions of a bunch of fools?"
"No, no, no, my dear, you need to step outside of it. How should I put it? For instance, would you care about how a colony of ants moves their home? Would you care about how two pigs fight? Would you care about why birds flying to the horizon attack one another?"
You would not, because to you, all of those things are inconsequential.
"If you truly wish to detach yourself from this group, you should treat them as if they were nothing more than inconsequential trifles."
As if casting a spell, Coleman laughed with unrestrained abandon.
His blood-red pupils swirled.
It was like a demon's gaze.
Utterly wicked.
Snow-white hair, a smile that hit just the right note.
A composed demeanor, a politeness that felt incredibly comfortable.
An aura of benevolence surrounded him.
A handsome face, eyes bright and piercing, yet never feeling overly intense.
Everything was just right.
He was like an angel who had strayed into the mortal realm.
Yet, he whispered demonic murmurs into one's ear.
"Give it a try. You have nothing to lose, and who knows? You might even feel more comfortable."
When you step away from the masses and look back, some of their actions appear as ridiculous as those of a clown.
Utterly incomprehensible.
Ku'er Ya's gaze clouded for a fleeting moment, only to regain its clarity the next instant.
He licked his lips unconsciously.
This kid...
Not bad at all.
Leaning back, his tone was filled with deep emotion.
"A very impressive kid. You almost led me into a logical trap."
As he spoke, he clapped his hands, his eyes brimming with appreciation.
The lazy uncle had vanished, replaced by a look Coleman was all too familiar with.
It was the look many madmen possessed.
His eyes were sharp, yet deeply shadowed.
The corners of his mouth were curled in a smile, yet he remained gentle and refined.
At first glance, Ku'er Ya looked like a bold yet tender gentleman.
Finally, this puppeteer who worshipped the art of the human body began to truly regard the child sitting across from him.
"My dear Mr. Coleman, congratulations. You have passed the test. I believe that before long, you will become an excellent orator."
Sitting up straight, Ku'er Ya said with a smile.
"Please forgive my previous rudeness. If you are willing, I believe we can begin our transaction now."
Looking directly at the white-haired child, Ku'er Ya accorded him a level of respect that defied his age.
He smiled and began, "Regarding your puppet craftsmanship, and my data on Nen abilities."
Coleman nodded with a smile and extended his hand.
"It is an honor to trade with you, Mr. Ku'er Ya. Please also forgive my earlier rudeness. I hope for a pleasant cooperation."
Ku'er Ya reached out as well, gripping that fair, slender hand.
"A pleasant cooperation."
