The Navy Attacks

Newgate and his pirate crew were heading toward Hachinosu.

As they sailed, Carl's thoughts raced.

He imagined fighting the Giant Warrior Pirates and the X Pirates, considering how to overcome their advantages and find a way to defeat them.

From their introductions alone, she knew that both crews were made up of giants. She had never actually seen a giant before.

The sea breeze gently brushed her face, carrying the salty freshness of the ocean.

She felt the ship rocking beneath her and enjoyed the freedom of sailing.

She knew that her pirate legend began at this very moment!

Carl sat at the bow with a fishing rod in her hands, intently fishing. She realized she was starting to enjoy it. Every time a fish took the bait, she felt a surge of excitement.

Sunlight fell upon her, highlighting her resolute features.

The sea breeze brushed through her hair, carrying a faint salty tang and bringing her a sense of peace and freedom.

Suddenly, the Titan Power gave her an extraordinary sense of perception, somewhat like Observation Haki. When she sensed the Navy ahead, she stood up and accidentally knocked over the bucket of fish beside her. The fish inside frantically slapped their tails.

Water splashed onto her, soaking her trouser cuffs, but she didn't pay it any mind. Her attention had been drawn elsewhere.

"What's wrong, Carl?"

Newgate sat in the middle of the deck, raised his flask, and took a long drink. When he saw Carl suddenly stand, he looked puzzled and hurriedly asked her what was wrong.

"I think I sensed the Navy."

Carl spoke with some surprise.

After all, the latter half of the Grand Line was practically a Navy graveyard. Any marines without real strength who came here were as good as dead. Getting here was no easy matter—not like at the beginning of the original story. The three rulers of this era were not afraid of the Navy.

Perhaps it was a talent granted by the Titan Power. Her perception was far beyond ordinary, much like Observation Haki.

In some ways, it was even stronger than Observation Haki.

"The Navy?"

Newgate set down his cup in disbelief. But Carl wouldn't have said it without a reason, so he immediately stood and unleashed his powerful Observation Haki.

"Which direction?"

He sensed them and fixed his gaze on the distance.

It looked like they would make contact soon. It had been so long since he'd fought the Navy that he was starting to feel a little rusty.

"Oh, an old friend has come to visit."

A smile appeared on Newgate's face. The moment he released his Observation Haki, he sensed Admiral Steel Bone Kong, as well as Garp and Sengoku, in the distance.

"Boys, get ready to fight!"

Newgate shouted excitedly. It had been a long time since he'd clashed with the Navy.

"We've got guests!"

His voice rang across the ship. Everyone immediately tensed, preparing for the battle ahead.

The mood aboard the ship turned tense in an instant. This wasn't their first time facing a Navy siege, and the prospect of fighting the marines only made them more excited.

After all, pirates and the Navy were natural enemies on the sea, weren't they?

Carl clenched her fist, her eyes shining brightly.

She knew this would be her first battle against the Navy since coming to this world.

"Everyone, get ready to fight!"

Newgate's booming voice carried across the whole ship. The crew immediately rolled up their sleeves, ready to join the battle.

Their fighting spirit blazed like flames, and a fierce light gleamed in their eyes.

"Enemies incoming! Get ready!"

A pirate in the lookout post had spotted the Navy fleet approaching in the distance.

"Cannons! Get the cannons out!"

A pirate serving as a squad leader directed the others.

At once, Newgate's crew sprang into action on the calm sea, working together in orderly fashion as each person hurried to complete their task.

Meanwhile, at the bow, Carl and Newgate stood at the very front of the deck, gazing at the Navy ahead.

"How are you feeling? You'll be fighting the Navy soon."

Newgate knew this would probably be Carl's first encounter with Steel Bone Kong.

"Haha, I've been looking forward to this day."

Carl laughed as she answered, excitement filling her heart.

Ever since coming to this world, she had longed for the chance to fight a top-tier powerhouse. Now that the opportunity had finally arrived, she wouldn't let it pass her by.

Besides, her mission was to disrupt the timeline, so she was bound to clash with the Navy sooner or later. With Newgate there, she wouldn't be in any real danger.

Her gaze was resolute, and her heart burned with a desire to fight. She could feel herself growing more and more eager for battle.

"How about it? Leave Steel Bone Kong to me. I want to test myself."

Carl could already see Steel Bone Kong's face. She hadn't expected him to be so young.

"I've got no problem with that. Just make sure you can hold your own."

Whitebeard agreed without hesitation. He had full confidence in Carl's strength.

He had fought Carl before. Though her strength was still a little below his, she had far greater stamina and endurance.

To Whitebeard, it made little difference who he fought. But for Carl, this would be the first true top-tier powerhouse she faced in this world.

Steel Bone Kong was unquestionably at Admiral level now. Carl knew she probably wouldn't last many exchanges against him.

Still, tension and excitement mingled in her heart. She knew this would be a fierce battle—and her chance to prove her strength.

She desperately wanted to find out how far she still had to go to match the world's top fighters.

The wind across the sea grew more and more urgent, and the shadow of battle fell over the waves.

They were about to face a battle that would decide their fate.

She also wanted to see where her strength ranked in this world.

The system only gave an overall assessment. She wanted to see whether she might exceed her limits in any particular area.

"I'm going in first!"

Carl shouted excitedly, then leaped from the deck into the air, drawing back her right fist.

Whitebeard watched the approaching Navy fleet, his brow furrowing slightly.

He knew their opponents were no ordinary force. Admiral Steel Bone Kong had come in person, leading Garp and Sengoku to capture him. Their combined strength was not to be underestimated.

"Everyone, be careful! These aren't ordinary marines!"

Whitebeard spoke firmly.

His words spurred everyone on.

"It's Captain Newgate!"

"Don't worry, it's not his first time fighting the Navy."

"Bring it on, Navy!"

The atmosphere aboard the ship turned tense in an instant. Everyone could feel the pressure mounting.

"Quake Punch!"

Carl soared through the air, her expression solemn. She drew a deep breath, gathered all her strength, and threw a punch.

During the night, she had practiced imitating some of the Tremor-Tremor Fruit's power and worked it into her Inch Punch. It was still far from the real thing, but she had managed to infuse her punch with some of the power of vibration.

Her fist shot forward, the air howling around it as a hint of vibrating force surged along with the blow.

Steel Bone Kong stood at the bow, his brows knitted. He immediately sensed something was wrong, rushed to the front of the ship, and swung his charged fist toward Carl's.

"Boom!"

Their fists never touched, but the collision between their shockwaves unleashed a tremendous blast of air. The sea instantly turned turbulent, and everyone on deck struggled to keep their footing.

"Who is this guy? Why does his attack have a hint of the Tremor-Tremor Fruit?"

"Could it be some kind of inferior version of the Tremor-Tremor Fruit?"

Carl's name hadn't appeared anywhere in the information he'd received. Where had she come from, and how had a pirate with such strength appeared?

Sengoku was known for his strategic mind. Though he was only a Vice Admiral, his strength was already close to that of an Admiral.

"This person may well be Newgate's target."

Sengoku spoke gravely. In his view, Newgate wouldn't do anything without a reason.

"True. Newgate wouldn't come to this island for no reason."

Garp chimed in. At this point in time, Garp hadn't yet witnessed the Navy's true darkness, and he was still somewhat carefree.

What they didn't know was that Newgate had only arrived on this small island by accident. But that hardly mattered now.

Carl had already used Geppo to fly swiftly to a position directly in front of the Navy warship.

Steel Bone Kong knew this wasn't the time to ponder such questions. The enemy was right in front of him.

"Falling Star Punch—Shatter!"

Steel Bone Kong had to deal with her attack first. He could look into her origins afterward.
