Changing Eyes

"Teacher!" Li Yi cried out. Danzo hurriedly looked over as well. The shinobi with a green glow in his hands sighed and shook his head. It was clear there was no saving him. The green light in his hands gradually faded.

Danzo looked at Kagami Uchiha's corpse and sighed. "Preserve Kagami's body and take it back to the village."

No matter what, Kagami Uchiha was now a hero of Konoha, and he had been Danzo's teammate. Danzo still had to make sure everything was properly arranged for him.

Li Yi acknowledged him and followed Matsushima out. Danzo glanced at the Sharingan in his hand, had someone bring him a vial of preservative solution, and placed the eye inside. Then he began sending a report to Sarutobi Hiruzen. Now that Kumogakure had joined the fray, the war was likely about to begin again.

With that, he took out a small vial and said, "Jonin Li Yi, this is your original eye!"

Li Yi took it and thanked him. Matsushima told him to get plenty of rest for the next few days, then left.

When he stepped out of the tent, he ran into Danzo. Danzo looked at Li Yi, paused for a moment, then said, "A Sharingan transplant will consume a lot of chakra and cause considerable rejection. Don't go on any missions for the next few days. Take the time to adjust to it."

Li Yi nodded. He wasn't about to tell Danzo that he felt almost no rejection and that the chakra it consumed was still within what he could handle.

Danzo was still decent enough for now, but who knew whether he would cause Li Yi trouble after he turned evil in the future?

"All right. Don't let Kagami's Sharingan go to waste. You don't need to worry about the Uchiha Clan. I'll take full responsibility!" Danzo said, then left. Li Yi also returned to his tent.

Over the next few days, he really would have to change his fighting style.

And he would need to practice using the Sharingan. As for the Mangekyo's technique, Li Yi had no intention of using it. It would only come in handy when he was being mobbed. The Three Tomoe Sharingan was still much more cost-effective. At the very least, it would make his genjutsu more powerful and much easier to use.
