Within-Wall World, a land steeped in mystery from the moment of its birth.
No one knew where it had come from or why it had been born. It had simply appeared abruptly upon The Great Monitor's surface and taken root there.
This world contained far too many stories, every one of them filled with this or that, carrying a magic potent enough to immerse even gods.
It was also filled with all manner of tangled paradoxes that left even gods scratching their heads.
Perhaps the flaw represented by Within-Wall World contained the secret code to finding a way out of the deadlock. But who could know? Even The Great Monitor, who had borne this world for countless years, had failed to find anything useful within that flaw.
Donnie had come from beyond, then precisely crossed into this flaw—there was theoretically such a possibility, but it was too much of a coincidence. So much so that even the Ultimates did not believe it was coincidence. There had to be some connection behind it.
Unfortunately, even the Ultimates, who knew everything, had been unable to answer that question. Even they had failed to find the crucial point that could prove Donnie had an inevitable connection to the flaw.
Perhaps there was a connection. Perhaps that connection was utterly useless to the Ultimates. Or perhaps there was no connection at all. Who could know?
At the very least, even Donnie himself, the transmigrator in question, did not know.
He was more inclined to believe it was an inevitable coincidence. There was a vague inclination in the dark: he had come from beyond the scope of American Comics and precisely settled into this flawed world, only awakening after slumbering for three eras—awakening in the most splendid, most turbulent era.
