Donnie headed straight for a school located in Westchester, New York, with his convoy.

Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters had developed rapidly over the past few decades, but it lived a life almost completely isolated from the outside world. Many people didn't even know that such a peculiar school existed within the bustling metropolis of New York City; only the higher-ups of certain organizations were aware of it.

This school specifically recruited, and only recruited, Mutants, ranging in age from a few years old to teenagers.

The headmaster was Charles Xavier, also known as Professor X, one of the two recognized pillars of the Mutant community and a great Mutant leader. He had dedicated his life to striving for peaceful coexistence between Mutants and ordinary humans, a respected elder.

However, Donnie remained hesitant about meeting Professor X. The Professor's psionic abilities were difficult to guard against; he could read Donnie's memories in an instant without Donnie even noticing.

Donnie had too many secrets. He genuinely worried in his heart that Professor X might access his memories, even though the possibility was incredibly slim.

Beyond his power, which was feared by the world, what people praised and respected even more about Professor X was his noble character. This elder had proven himself over a lifetime and would continue to do so. He was an elder one could trust, a truly benevolent elder.

Donnie ventured to meet Professor X because he needed help, he needed reliable support.

He wouldn't choose Magneto, at least not until he had the strength to oppose Magneto. Magneto's style was unyielding and uncompromising; he was determined to exterminate humanity and make Earth a world for Mutants, acting with extreme measures.

Donnie understood that time was truly running out.

In the near future, the great era of conflict would officially commence, and Earth would have little energy to spare for internal strife. Mythical figures would sweep across the stars, leaving fields of corpses, countless ancient races would set sail once more to conquer the universe, civilization after civilization would wail under their iron heels, and ancient stars would shatter in war.

The future was one of countless bloody battles, of endless wars.

There was no light or hope to be seen, no flowers or distant horizons, only endless piles of corpses and despair. Donnie himself didn't know how long he could hold on in the future, he didn't know how many battles he could endure.

Once Donnie made up his mind, he drove his Optimus Prime, with a brand-new motorcycle in the truck bed, followed by two old cars, forming a small convoy. Donnie led them to Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters.

He wanted to find Professor X; he was betting on Professor X's character. He wanted to become stronger, even if it was just a little bit.

There truly wasn't much time left.

Xavier's School was basically isolated from the world, with beautiful scenery, far from the smog and noise of the city; it was a paradise.

As they approached the main gate, the sound of the vehicles attracted a lot of attention. Outsiders rarely came here, and they were very curious about this new visitor.

It was a group of children of various ages. They clustered in small groups, pointing at Donnie as he got out of the car and whispering amongst themselves, discussing who this person was.

Donnie looked at the children. Their faces held innocence and purity, like angels unaware of the world's troubles, which instantly calmed Donnie's heart. Looking at these children, he felt his entire being relax.

This change surprised him. He had always been on edge, but in front of these children, he had quietly relaxed. It felt comfortable and fitting.

"Welcome, Donnie." A woman had already known Donnie was coming. She stood waiting, smiling. She didn't even bother with "Mr." when addressing him, treating Donnie like one of her own.

"Dr. Jean, I've seen you speak in Congress and read some of your papers. Thank you for everything you've done." Donnie looked at the elegant and mature woman. Although it was their first meeting, he recognized her instantly: this was Jean Grey, a terrifyingly uncontrollable Level 5 Mutant.

Facing Jean, Donnie felt a sense of suffocation, whether it was his imagination or not. The AllSpark in his mind flashed wildly.

Jean Grey was one of the hosts of the cosmic Phoenix Force, possessing terrifying energy within her body. Her telekinesis could annihilate souls and matter at the atomic level, making her extremely formidable. The most critical issue was that this power was uncontrollable; Jean often found herself controlled by the power, leading to the birth of a negative personality.

Professor X had sealed the source of Jean's power with his psionic abilities, but as time passed, the seal's strength weakened, becoming less able to resist the increasingly volatile Phoenix Force.

It only took a trigger for the Phoenix Force to erupt irreversibly, with no possibility of recovery. The negative personality would erase the primary personality and take over everything.

But at least for now, the kind and friendly Dr. Jean was still in control. She herself was unaware of her negative personality.

"Oh?" Jean's smile was very sweet. She looked at Donnie playfully, "Then which of my papers have you read? We can discuss them. I heard you also attended university."

"Only half of it," Donnie said shamelessly. "I'm very interested in some of your papers analyzing Mutant abilities, Dr. Jean."

Donnie was talking nonsense, praising Dr. Jean's research for lifting the veil on the field of Mutant abilities and playing a huge role in better understanding the direction of Mutant development. He was very grateful for Dr. Jean's efforts for Mutants.

Papers? How could he have possibly read such things? It was out of the question.

Jean gave Donnie a meaningful look. She was a teacher herself, how could she not see that Donnie was talking nonsense? But she didn't call him out, instead gesturing for Donnie to follow her.

"When you were nearing the school, Professor X sensed you and asked me to come pick you up," Jean said to Donnie as they walked. Professor X had been paying attention to Donnie for a long time and had been looking forward to Donnie coming to see him, hoping to have a good talk.

Many Mutant students stared curiously at Donnie. Some who liked watching TV had already recognized him and quickly told others that this young man was the recently prominent Mechanic.

"He's that newly emerged high-level Mutant?" a young boy exclaimed, his eyes shining. Related organizations had blocked Donnie's detailed information, leading many to only know that Donnie had awakened during a crisis and was of a high level, but the exact level was subject to much speculation.

The most reliable information suggested he was a Level 3 Mutant, and one with combat-oriented abilities, possessing great destructive power.

Following the cobblestone path, Donnie arrived at an old, rustic building at the deepest part of the school. This building had some age to it and looked very elegant. Even more surprisingly, oriental glazed tiles were arranged in order on the first floor, forming a beautiful pattern on the exterior.

Pushing open the main door, a bald elder sitting in a wheelchair slowly turned around. He exuded a peaceful aura, his gaze calm yet filled with the light of wisdom.

"Welcome, my kinsman."
