Some people were tragedies from the moment they were born.
Reverse-Flash was a typical example.
He had longed to become a superhero greater than the Flash, yet he had never been able to step out from beneath the Flash's shadow. Unwilling to accept it, he ran madly through countless timelines across the past and future, only to discover in despair that in every single timeline, he and the Flash were destined to be mortal enemies.
Even if he had never met the Flash, the countless possibilities of the past and future told him clearly: You, Thawne, are destined to become the Flash's archenemy.
And so he truly did it, resolutely setting foot on the path of opposing the Flash.
It was both Destiny's merciless mockery of him and, perhaps, the heartfelt hatred he bore for the Flash.
When one dream shattered, the new dream that replaced it might not be greater, but it would inevitably be compared to the old one.
Reverse-Flash pinned the blame for his descent into darkness on the Flash.
I was once kind, but that bastard called the Flash forced me to turn evil.
So, he wanted to kill the Flash.
A cool breeze swept by. Thawne shoved his hands into his pockets and turned around, his spotless leather shoes stepping into the gradually cooling coffee. The smile at the corner of his mouth slowly faded as his icy gaze swept ahead.
"No one understands you better than I do, Barry." Thawne wore a cold smile whose meaning was impossible to tell—mockery, or something else.
"So this was how you deceived us?! So you killed my mother and made my father suffer in prison for over twenty years?!"
Barry wore his red suit, glaring with bloodshot eyes. Veins filled his eye sockets as pain and disappointment
