Whenever Darkseid saw a Boom Tube appear on his planet, he was always struck by a sense of foreboding.

The first time, Ancient Doomsday had come charging over, beaten him senseless, wreaked havoc across Apocalypse, and then left in comfort.

In the end, the Blackest Night Emperor did not choose to enter Apocalypse. The God Realm was not his territory; the multiverse was.

Donnie spat out blood, turned back, and watched the Boom Tube disappear with a regretful expression. "He actually didn't come over..."

Darkseid's face remained expressionless, but the massive hand resting casually on his throne's armrest quietly tightened, crushing a huge crack into it.

That bastard really treated Apocalypse like a dumping ground, throwing every monster imaginable onto his planet.

"I originally wanted to lure him to Apocalypse so I could escape."

Donnie looked up at Darkseid, who brought him immense pressure, and spoke regretfully.

Donnie had no choice but to flee to Apocalypse. If he had fled elsewhere, such as Cybertron, the Blackest Night Emperor would surely have pursued him through the Boom Tube.

Darkseid revealed a cruel smile. "Now you have no choice. Either I kill you, or you submit to me. But with your godhead shattered, you have already lost your value."
