At some point, large quantities of weapons began flowing into the entire Old City District. Though knowledgeable people saw these weapons as outdated and obsolete, to the people struggling to survive in the Old City District, having reasonably priced, high-quality weapons available for purchase was nothing short of earth-shattering!

The entire Old City District was stirred into an uproar!

The Old City District was controlled by numerous gangs. Under normal circumstances, there was no way weapons like these could have made their way in!

Impoverished civilians who had long suffered under gang oppression and exploitation gritted their teeth, took out the money they had painstakingly hidden away, and left their homes to buy weapons.

The old homeless man still sat beside that battered oil drum. The weather was excellent today. During the rainy season, weather like this brought the greatest joy to homeless people struggling through life. It meant he would not freeze and could spend more time searching for food.

He was old, and there was no work for him in the Old City District anyway. Everyone living here was poor; it was a completely different world from the New City District.

That was, until the local gang came knocking again.

"Old bastard, it's time to pay this month's protection money!" A member of the Falken Family blocked the old homeless man's path and snarled at him. In the past, these lowlifes would obediently hand over their money and whatever scraps they had accumulated. He could turn in part of it and secretly pocket the rest.

Resistance? Sorry, these impoverished lowlifes did not dare resist, nor did they know how. The entire Old City District was ruled by Falcone and a bunch of gangs barely surviving in the cracks. Firearms were monopolized—what could these lowlifes use to fight back?
