A full-scale conflict on the verge of erupting came to an end just like that. Donnie had won his gamble as well, dragging back the Collector's head as a decoration for the one-million-year term.

A million years really was not long. To Donnie, it was merely the flick of a finger. Time was one of the most useless things to an eighth-level god.

"I had been worried that the Chief Justice would punish me harshly for sheltering you."

Donnie looked at the head in his hand, far larger than his entire body.

Bands of light flickered across the half-mechanical, half-fleshy head.

"So you went to test him? You should be grateful that the Chief Justice is a god who values fairness above all else. Otherwise, no one could have saved you after the offense you gave him."

A consciousness filled with anger and mockery emerged. It was the Collector's spirit, not yet completely erased. The agreement between Donnie and the Chief Justice allowed him to use the Collector's head as a display of his strength, but not to completely modify it, which was why the Collector's will had survived.

"I dared to do it because I was certain of it, because I know things even you don't understand." Donnie snorted, a cold glint flashing in his eyes. "As for you, you were a fool from beginning to end. The Destroyer Celestial played you like a fiddle, and you were the first to fall into my hands."

"Didn't you say you wanted to collect my head as a specimen?"

"I achieved that goal before you did, you piece of trash, you worthless toy! You belong to me now!"

The Collector flew into a rage and was about to say something when Donnie cut him off again. "Shut up, you worthless toy."
