The Omega Ray crossed from one end of the World Forge to the other in an instant. After repeatedly changing direction, its inevitable-hit property was pushed to the limit as it stabbed toward Donnie in an inescapable arc.

Donnie remained expressionless. He suddenly clenched one hand into a fist and swung it upward, as though commanding an invisible army, targeting the Dark Multiverse army surging toward him like a tidal wave.

Splat!

The two rays collided head-on. Their terrifying penetrative and reset properties tried to act directly upon Donnie, while scattered specks of red light vanished into the air in an instant.

"This is..." Darkseid's gaze shifted slightly as he looked at the silver shield Donnie had suddenly produced.

Of course, he would not naively believe that an Omega Ray fired by a mere avatar could kill Donnie.

"You gained X Energy's approval so quickly. That was beyond my expectations."

Darkseid's massive body leaned forward slightly, following the torrent rushing toward Donnie. Blood-red eyes glinted with bloodlust.

"Using it like this is a bit wasteful, but there's an ocean of X Energy beneath my feet. I can afford the expense."

Donnie stamped the ground. All his focus swiftly converged as he controlled streams of X Energy shaped like enormous dragons, gathering them together to forge this indestructible shield.

There was no need to pour divine power, magic, or other energies into the shield. X Energy itself was an incomparably powerful force. In theory, a single drop of X Energy could grow into an entire universe.

As for when Donnie had earned X Energy's approval... what a joke. X Energy had never accepted Donnie at all. The entire World Forge loathed him, this savage invader.
