Everyone craved this newborn mutant, especially those who had witnessed the boundless might of Professor X and Magneto. Day and night, they dreamed of obtaining a Level 4 Mutant, driven to madness.
To deal with a Level 4 Mutant and protect their own safety, the best move was to have a Level 4 Mutant of their own—tit for tat, or at least a guaranteed escape.
The long-lurking figures slowly emerged, encircling Donnie from a distance, yet wary, not daring to get too close.
Donnie's hand twitched slightly, and a phone slid out from his sleeve.
"Trying to call for help?" The leader chuckled, the tense atmosphere instantly easing. A faint smile crossed his face as he said, "If you cooperate nicely, I promise my men won't hurt you. On the contrary, I'll give you enormous benefits. I've looked into you—humble origins, never enjoyed the finer things. I can give you everything you want, as long as you work for my boss."
He'd done this kind of interception work many times, with a success rate over ninety percent. He was an assassin, and prey he'd set his sights on almost never escaped. Confident of victory, he tried to crush Donnie with intimidation, forcing him to submit.
So what if he was a high-level mutant? Weak-willed, a total waste—lacking even the thought or courage to resist. In the end, he was still pathetic.
"I'll cooperate with your grandpa." Donnie smirked.
The assassin froze, only to see Donnie's palm suddenly clench. The phone in his hand let out a series of clicks, impossibly transforming into a metallic pistol gleaming with a cold sheen!
A gunshot rang out. The assassin was hit in the chest, blood streaming, and collapsed in shock.
In the blink of an eye, the lead assassin was down. Many hadn't even reacted, staring dumbfounded.
How was this possible! Wasn't this mutant's ability vehicle modification? What the hell was that phone-to-gun transformation?!
Another series of clicks sounded. The several watches Donnie wore assembled into a helmet and small armor, instantly protecting his head, chest, and other vital areas. Before leaving, he'd asked Coulson for three watches, and with his own, he'd modified them enough to shield his critical spots.
Donnie struck ruthlessly, quickly firing into the densest part of the crowd, but his aim was poor—only a few were killed.
This was his first direct confrontation with enemies, yet his heart was surprisingly calm. Come to think of it, not everyone had the kind of overwhelming presence and pressure that Abomination did. Fighting a monster like Abomination was truly walking the edge of life and death. This situation? Far from it.
Now, Donnie was trying his hand at assembling firearms. Though he didn't understand the exact structure, he could roughly use Spark Energy to violently propel metal pellets out. This was a leap in combat power—no longer needing to assemble a big blade and charge into melee like before.
Gunfire erupted. These people were all ruthless bastards—once they struck, they'd counter with lightning force, leaving no room for mercy!
Donnie had already rolled behind a car.
"Mr. Donnie, there's no need for this. We can still talk, become friends," someone shouted at him.
"How do we become friends?" Donnie replied, silently estimating his remaining Spark Energy as he placed the gun on the ground.
The gun stealthily shifted, transforming into a tiny, miniature transformer—a Mini-Transformer. If this scene got out, it would spark unimaginable frenzy—a creative power like that of a creator!
Much of the Mini-Transformer's metal had been fired off as bullets earlier, shrinking its size. This was one of the flaws Donnie had discovered in his ability.
Besides, if he couldn't get through this, he'd die. No point overthinking.
"Come out now, and we'll talk properly. I'm here on behalf of my boss... Our boss really likes you!"
The man spoke as he slowly stepped out. Donnie also emerged, expressionless.
The man's heart soared. What a rookie fool—does he really think this is a movie? Negotiate mid-battle, turn hostility into friendship, and laugh as they become brothers?
He planned to snipe Donnie on the spot. A corpse wasn't ideal, but it would satisfy his boss. A dead Level 4 Mutant was barely acceptable.
But he didn't notice a small object moving stealthily in the dim light, circling wide to creep up beside him—silent, unseen.
"You refused to surrender, so die!" The man laughed, confident in his victory and the great merit he'd earn.
The large ring he wore was actually a micro-gun. Many renowned experts had fallen to his treachery, cementing his reputation.
But something smaller struck faster!
The Mini-Transformer leaped out from the shadows, charging at the man with a roar. In an instant, it reached him, using a Mini Chainsaw to viciously slice at his ankle.
Caught off guard, the man let out a bloodcurdling scream, reaching down to clutch his wound. The sound was piercing, sending chills down everyone's spine.
"What the hell is that thing?!"
Hearts raced, but their hands moved fast. Many pulled out machine guns and opened fire wildly. The little thing bounced and dodged, quickly finding Donnie, slipping behind him, then circling wide again, vanishing somewhere.
Gunfire thundered, but that small object kept weaving across the ground, cutting down one enemy after another. Many screamed and collapsed, doomed to spend the rest of their lives in wheelchairs.
People started to waver. These blood-soaked, arrogant bastards had seen plenty of action—many had been on battlefields, through life and death. But now, they were genuinely creeped out. They'd never seen anything so bizarre—moving on its own, turning into all sorts of strange shapes.
Like some demonic creation, impossible to predict.
"You really thought I was a pushover?" Donnie controlled the Mini-Transformer, watching one arrogant bastard after another fall.
This was one of his two latest Spark creations, his current lifeline. Though his brain had been damaged and his ability weakened, its essence remained. His control was far more refined than when he'd first awakened—just with less Spark Energy in reserve.
Enough to deal with these scumbags. These were just appetizers, cannon fodder.
Anyone with half a brain wouldn't send such trash to kill him.
"Use the rocket launcher! Forget friendly fire! Just kill this monster!"
An assassin shouted, preparing to deploy his men to finish off the hateful bastard. An assassin ambushed by a rookie—a disgrace. He wanted revenge.
This assassin had killed countless people, a true expert. Though wounded, his physique and hearing were enough to dodge that little monster's attacks. He had his strength and his pride.
Almost instantly, the top-tier assassin screamed and collapsed. His foot had been severed by the high-speed spinning chainsaw the little thing had thrown. Blood sprayed three feet, and he passed out, terrifying everyone.
What the hell, it throws things too?! Why don't you just fly?!
Trembling with fear, some daring souls pulled out rocket launchers, aiming at Donnie's position, ready to blast him with heavy firepower.
Vroom vroom vroom!
An engine roared. A motorcycle suddenly lit up, without warning, like a wild beast unleashed. It charged forward with brutal, ferocious momentum, leaping on the spot and slamming into the burly man carrying the rocket launcher.
The ambushers were losing their minds. Had anyone ever seen a motorcycle that could steer itself, corner on its own, and even jump up to attack people?! And on top of that, its riding skills were insane!
Under the terrified and trembling gazes of the crowd, the motorcycle transformed, quickly shifting into a humanoid machine about one person tall. Whether it was an illusion or not, they seemed to see this monster curl the corner of its mouth, giving them a sinister smile.
It smiled...
It actually fucking smiled!!!
Someone with a background in biology, please explain the principle behind this!!!
Donnie clutched his head in pain, remotely controlling the Motorcycle Transformer. Amid countless horrified and despairing stares, he picked up the rocket launcher from the ground—there was still one rocket round left inside.
The motorcycle was his second Coreflame creation, freshly prepared!
