The Specter had always silently watched over the little girl.
On the vast planet of Apocalypse, she was special.
In that ugly world where utter darkness and sin were intertwined, she alone was the last tiny glimmer of light and hope.
The Specter watched her, watched her foolishly help others time and again, repeatedly giving away the only things she possessed.
Again and again, the Specter stepped in to help her evade deadly threats. The countless villains' greedy, brutal actions were all secretly thwarted by the Specter.
The little girl believed that a god was protecting her.
"Why don't you stop? Haven't you suffered enough injustice?"
Unable to hold back any longer, the Specter appeared before her and stopped her, questioning her.
"I just think this is the right thing to do." The little girl smiled at him.
The Specter fell silent for a moment, then stepped aside and let the little girl pass.
And so, more and more residents of Apocalypse noticed her. More and more people survived because of the little girl's kindness.
Though most of them were ungrateful beasts, there were still some who retained their consciences, gradually gathering around the little girl.
She was like a faint spark amid endless darkness, liable to be snuffed out at any moment, yet incomparably tenacious, untouched by darkness and sin.
This was a miracle on Apocalypse.
A miracle that should never have appeared on Apocalypse.
As time passed, the light released by that flame grew brighter and brighter!
At last, Apocalypse's ruler was enraged by that blinding light.
On Apocalypse, where villains were everywhere and the strong devoured the weak, an anomaly like the little girl stood out all too clearly.
Darkseid descended with a thunderous crash. Though he was still licking his wounds, he had personally taken action.
