At some point, Darkseid had risen from his throne. His rock-like body stood silently in place, his awe-inspiring gaze fixed directly on the scarred Dark Superman.
His youngest adopted son had successfully completed the task Darkseid had given him.
Very good. Darkseid was extremely satisfied.
Darkseid looked up at Dark Superman and revealed a chilling smile. "You did exceptionally well, Clark. The results of your work have far exceeded my expectations. I have to say, you are far superior to my other worthless offspring."
Just then, Kalibak had returned with the armies of Parademons and Doomsdays. Hearing this, he froze for a moment, shot Dark Superman a resentful look from afar, then immediately lowered his head and concealed his expression.
At this moment, Dark Superman was practically the center of Apocalypse. No matter how arrogant Kalibak was, he had to admit that he could not compare to his radiant younger brother now.
Darkseid did not even spare Kalibak a glance. His crimson eyes remained fixed solely on Dark Superman.
"Come back. The war is over. You are no match for Donnie now. Even if you want revenge, now is not the time."
Darkseid spoke in a low voice.
Dark Superman suddenly turned his head and gave Darkseid a long, deep look.
Then he grinned. "Why should I listen to you?"
All the gods paused when they heard that, each of them sneering as they watched the scene.
Good. This was perfectly normal and reasonable, wasn't it? On Apocalypse, strength ruled. The only law revered was survival of the fittest. Whoever was strong was the lofty master, while whoever was weak was dust beneath the mud. Fair, wasn't it?
"Now, Darkseid seems to be the weak one..." Some gods let out ill-intentioned chuckles, as though suppressing certain thoughts.
