Sack's eyes were deep, and in his heart, he did not believe a word of it.
The plot replayed in his mind.
What divine attendant could serve three gods?
And that was only what had been said out loud. As for the gods before that, maybe it had been Popo too.
Also, Popo had been able to clash with two little Super Saiyans at the end. Did that mean he was growing?
Why had he not grown before?
The Giant Elephant had no spirit, yet now it had produced fluctuations on its own. If this was not because of Popo, Sack would twist his own head off and let him kick it like a ball.
"Ordinary or not, Mr. Popo knows very well in his heart, but I don't care either.
Angels can't act within the universe either. I imagine Mr. Popo wouldn't act recklessly either, right?"
As Sack's words fell, the Giant Elephant inside him let out a mournful cry.
Sack's heart chilled.
What he had just said had definitely touched Popo somehow. As for whether it was in a good way or a bad way, he was not quite sure.
His yearning for gods burned even hotter in his heart.
In this universe, aside from gods, even Ultra Instinct, whose combat power surpassed gods in the later stages, had not truly mastered rules. It was only suspected to have done so.
As for the rest, most were either innate abilities or cultivated through special techniques.
What was interesting was that the rules of this universe seemed very powerful, yet also strangely weak.
A group of powerhouses who had not mastered rules could actually defeat powerhouses who had.
For example, Jiren.
"God, can you send me to King Kai?"
"What are you trying to do?" The God's face was grave.
The strength of the person before him was baffling.
He seemed to possess only that tiny bit of power, yet a super-powerful expert followed behind him, and he treated the rules of heaven and earth as if they were nothing.
Sack said nothing more. He glanced at the God and Popo, then turned and left.
"I'll live in seclusion on Earth for a while."
This was indeed what Sack had in mind. Aside from the factor of Piccolo, more importantly, he needed to recover his strength.
He had promised Renar he would return, but he still had not done it.
The fourth Seal Talisman also needed to be condensed.
Just now, it had only been a sudden idea.
He had never expected that the Heaven and Earth Furnace would not be able to sense a god's aura. The god of Earth was a false god today and had not mastered much in the way of rules either.
But he truly had not anticipated this.
Beerus had said that unless one reached the realm of gods, one could not sense a god's aura.
But in the Z storyline, Son Goku and Buu had treated King Kai's Planet like a toilet, coming and going as they pleased.
That damn well could not be explained at all.
Not to mention that in the early stage, when it came to King Kai's Planet and Grand Kai's Planet, they went there whenever they wanted to blow something up, whenever they wanted to train, and whenever they wanted to eat.
If you said Earth's God was a false god, then fine. But King Kai, at least, was formed from a World Core. He could not, and should not, be a false god, right?
Fine, even if King Kai counted as beneath notice, the Supreme Kai of the Sacred World of the Kai was the real deal, a peak god with a direct path to Zeno's Palace, right?
Why could Son Goku come and go as he pleased, enter and leave at will? Did he have the key?
Was he treating gods like public buses?
Sack had originally thought that cultivating the God Elephant Prison-Suppressing Force would also make him an exception.
In the end, he could not sense anything at all.
That was why he had suggested that the God take him to King Kai's Planet to cultivate for a while.
He had not expected that instead of getting a chance to sound out the God, he would be given a fright by Popo.
Fortunately, his mentality was steady. Otherwise, he would have given himself away long ago.
"Looks like gods have plenty of secrets too. The real world is so much fun."
Excitement appeared in Sack's eyes.
Soon, once he condensed the fourth rune, things would get interesting.
On the Lookout, the God swayed unsteadily.
"He's... gone?"
Popo's hands hung naturally at his sides, his gaze calm as the surface of a clear lake.
That lake was bottomless, impossible to probe.
Sack came whistling down onto Korin Tower.
Korin's fur bristled all over again.
"A-again?"
Sack landed on the tower's roof and leaned casually against the railing.
"I'll leave once Dabo brings you the fish."
Korin trembled with fear, wishing only that this fiend would leave right now.
"You must be bored. W-why not go see how far he's gotten?"
"No need. He just robbed a Hoi-Poi Capsule and is heading for the seaside."
Korin's mouth twitched.
Robbed?
He was an immortal, all right? Did he not need to keep any face?
A smile played at the corners of Sack's mouth as the energy inside him rapidly poured into the Giant Elephant.
Aoo~~
A Giant Elephant embryo awakened, transforming into a Pink Elephant that happily swung its trunk and stamped its legs.
Sack's aura surged again, reaching a battle power of 60.
"Huh?"
Korin looked at Sack in confusion.
Just now, Sack's battle power had doubled.
Although that doubling was very flimsy, it had indeed strengthened him.
Sack ignored Korin. One stream of energy kept shifting, trying to create a second new rune.
Each time the energy changed thickness or direction of connection, Sack felt he had taken a big step closer to success.
Failure was the mother of success. The more failures there were, the more mothers there were; the more mothers there were, the easier success became.
The energy kept changing combinations and faintly showed signs of liquefying. Each time it failed and dispersed, the collapsed energy nourished Sack's flesh, blood, skin, and membranes.
When it could naturally condense his bones, he would be just about close to success.
What he was condensing was a Life Talisman, meant to help him increase his lifespan.
This was delicate work and required persistence.
About half an hour later, Dabo flew over with a calm face, carrying a faint fishy smell all over him.
"My King."
Sack opened his eyes, his brows and eyes carrying a smile.
"Done?"
"My King, Earth seems a little strange."
"Oh?"
"My King, I sensed a very strange energy. Very evil, and very powerful."
A gratified smile appeared on Sack's face.
For Dabo to sense this meant he had already taken his first steps in energy.
Sack had sensed it before even entering Earth, only he had simply never said anything.
And it was not just one stream, but many. It was only that many were still very weak and had not yet radiated out.
With the Heaven and Earth Furnace in hand, he was extremely sensitive to energy. Within its range, any abnormal fluctuation could be found.
Sack understood what it was, but it would not erupt until twenty years later.
"My King, am I right?"
Sack had already flown up.
"Very right. But it has nothing to do with us. Once that fellow appears, nothing short of a God of Destruction can wipe it out. Earth is going to be finished soon."
Sack did not hide those words from Korin, and Korin's face turned grave.
He did not think these powerful beings would deliberately tease him.
"Wait, you still haven't said what the crisis is."
Sack had already flown out of Korin Tower. Dabo gave a cold snort, tossed over a Hoi-Poi Capsule, then turned and followed Sack.
"Hey, wait! You still haven't said!"
Korin was so anxious he stamped his feet.
What Sack had spoken of concerned Earth's life or death. How could he not explain it clearly?
He stretched out a hand and stood frozen atop Korin Tower.
On the Lookout, the Guardian, who had only just calmed down, shuddered in fright.
"Popo, is what he said true?"
Popo's eyes flickered.
"As a powerful warrior, he probably would not joke about something like that."
The Guardian swayed.
"Why has Earth suffered so many disasters? What are we supposed to do?"
Popo's gaze was dark and distant, like a deep pool.
"Son Goku."
The Guardian froze.
"Son Goku? That child?"
Popo nodded.
"That group is strong because they benefited from their genes. Son Goku is of the same race as them. As long as he is properly trained, he can become just as powerful.
And on top of that, his nature is pure and good."
The Guardian fell into thought, then turned and slowly returned inside the Lookout.
