Eliminate Kid Buu

Now that Son Gohan had fully uncovered the secret behind Kid Buu's resurrection, the next step was figuring out how to eliminate this menace.

That was right. To Son Gohan, that was Kid Buu's only remaining value.

Kid Buu's nature meant he could never become an ally. The only option was to erase him completely and prevent any future trouble.

As for how to utterly destroy this guy, Son Gohan already had a rough plan in mind.

Anyone who had watched Dragon Ball knew that, in the original story, Son Goku had relied on the secret technique known as the Spirit Bomb to completely destroy Kid Buu. This also proved that Son Gohan's investigation had been correct.

What was the principle behind the Spirit Bomb? It gathered the righteous energy "given" by all living things in the world, condensing it into highly concentrated energy with a unique "attribute" to destroy the opponent.

There was much to consider here. The more obvious parts could be ignored for now; the key was that unique attribute, which was why the Spirit Bomb had become Son Goku's preferred secret technique for defeating so many powerful villains.

Vegeta, Frieza, Kid Buu, and the rest—leaving aside the movies and GT for now—all the villains struck by the Spirit Bomb shared one trait: their attributes were extremely distinct.

However, this also indirectly revealed the Spirit Bomb's weakness. For example, Vegeta and Frieza had not been completely killed by it.

There were several reasons Vegeta and Frieza had only been heavily injured rather than killed by the Spirit Bomb. Perhaps Son Goku had not been strong enough at the time, or perhaps they had not been evil to the core.

After all, Vegeta later became a good buddy, while King Frieza switched careers and became a good guy.
