Amid the rainbow-colored light, Marcarita looked at Son Gohan beside her and asked.
"I gained quite a lot," Son Gohan replied. "This trip wasn't wasted."
"It's good that you gained something. At first, I was worried you'd get beaten so badly that you lost your confidence," Marcarita teased.
"There was a bit of that, indeed. The gap between us was so vast before—it was enough to make anyone despair." Son Gohan nodded.
"But everything has its pros and cons. Before, I couldn't clearly see my own path. After this battle, I now understand much better where I fell short."
Marcarita said meaningfully, "Do you know? Even if you were ten times stronger—no, a hundred times stronger—you still wouldn't be able to defeat Jiren. You might not even be able to hurt him."
"I know," Son Gohan said without hesitation. "But precisely because of that, I now have a goal to keep growing stronger, and I know where I stand."
"Alright, we're here. I'll be heading back now."
After bringing Son Gohan back to Universe 7's Destroyer Realm, Marcarita prepared to bid him farewell.
"Wait," Son Gohan called out.
"What is it?" Marcarita stopped and turned back around.
"This is a gift for you, to thank you for your help this time." Son Gohan handed Marcarita a box.
"What's inside?" Marcarita took the box and asked curiously.
Although she could find out whenever she wanted with her abilities, gifts were always better with a little surprise.
"You'll know once you open it after you get back."
Son Gohan smiled. "I'm guessing you'll like it."
Marcarita did not open it. Instead, she waved and said, "Then I'll gladly accept your gift. Alright, goodbye."
"Goodbye."
Watching Marcarita leave, Son Gohan turned and prepared to enter
