On the way from Hogwarts to the telephone box, Ludo Bagman had talked nonstop. He was an exceptionally chatty man.
Even though Wizet did not respond, Bagman could keep talking to himself without pause. Perhaps it was precisely this gift for gab that had allowed him to serve as commentator for so many different events.

Wizet rubbed his brow and did not answer Ludo Bagman's question.
Ludo Bagman did not mind at all. He continued talking to himself as they made their way through the desolate streets.
When he spotted a battered red telephone box, his tone turned delighted. "That's the telephone box!"
"Honestly, I don't understand what they were thinking..." He hurried over and pulled open the telephone box door. "But no matter where visitors come from, they can only enter the Ministry of Magic through the telephone box now."

After Ludo Bagman dialed "62442," a cold female voice spoke. "Welcome to the Ministry of Magic. Please state your name, occupation, and the nature of your business."
Ludo Bagman shouted into the receiver, "I'm Ludo Bagman! Head of the Department of Magical Games and Sports!"
"I've brought Wizet Lovegood over. He'll be attending the award ceremony this morning."
