Ginny let out a shriek and threw her arms around Luna. "So that's what left this on your neck? What about him? Did you also...?"
A faint pink flush spread across her cheeks. Unable to finish the sentence, she could only cling to Luna and shake her, as though that could convey what she meant.
The little Thunderbird was startled. It flapped its wings and flew into the air, chirping several times in apparent protest.
It circled twice overhead before returning to Luna's side, nestling against her as it folded its wings.
"I think..." Luna stroked the little Thunderbird's feathers soothingly. "It should be the same, right?"
There was a light, mischievous lilt in her voice. "After being pecked by such an enthusiastic eagle, of course I had to peck back!"
Ginny's eyes instantly lit up with astonishing brightness, and her breathing seemed to quicken. "What exactly did you do this afternoon? Hurry up and tell us!"
Luna's voice was softer than usual. Her brows lifted slightly, and her eyes curved into bright crescents. "We didn't really do much..."
