Back at the park, Wizet strolled along a quiet path and turned to Luna. "Luna, what did you two talk about?"
Claire Bernard's mention of a "puberty crisis" had caught his attention.
Since Luna had taken the initiative to ask Claire to help look for information, it seemed there might be a breakthrough there.
"It was mainly about Mr. Bernard..." Luna said slowly. "Mr. Bernard still hadn't woken up at the time, and Claire was still worried."
"Didn't you tell her? That Dark Magic creatures are collections of negative emotions. She still found it a little hard to understand, so I helped explain it."
Wizet promptly said, "As expected of Professor Luna. You're much better than me!"
A slight curve touched Luna's lips. "After I explained it to her, I think she understood quite a few things..."
"She thought that it was because Mr. Bernard was going through a 'puberty crisis' that he drew the attention of a Dark Magic creature."
"I see..." Wizet's tone held a note of realization. "So you used Dementors as an example?"
"Yes!" Luna nodded lightly. "Claire told me that the reason she brought Mr. Bernard to the park was to help him relax."
"Before that, her aunt found a love letter Mr. Bernard had written in the trash. He was probably rejected, so Mr. Bernard had been in rather low spirits for a while."
"After the family learned about it, they were worried about this 'puberty crisis' too. So, without saying it aloud, they chose to keep it hidden and wanted to help Mr. Bernard slowly get over it, step by step."
"So that was it..." Wizet recalled something from earlier. "No wonder Mr. Bernard hesitated then. He was probably worried that I would learn about it while searching through his memories."
