Fred and George's eyes remained fixed on the pile of limp hand bones, their faces brimming with excitement.
"Merlin's beard!" they exclaimed in unison, their voices trembling slightly with excitement. "Making magical tools from your own bones is just too cool!"
Remus Lupin, meanwhile, had been watching Quirinus Quirrell's expression. When Sirius had first brought out the hand bones, Quirinus Quirrell's immediate reaction had been unmistakable concern.
Quirinus Quirrell was not only an alchemist, but also Nicolas Flamel's student. If even Quirinus Quirrell was worried about this magical tool, it probably did carry some truly terrifying danger.
But Remus Lupin recalled something else: Sirius had made this magical tool in the first place because of Wizet's theoretical support.
From what he knew of Wizet, whenever faced with strange ideas that seemed fraught with danger and had extremely low chances of success, Wizet could always refine them, making the process of realizing them safe and reliable.
Remus Lupin also remembered Rita Skeeter referring to Wizet as "Mr. Fountain of Fair Fortune" not long ago.
Although Remus Lupin thought "Mr. Fountain of Fair Fortune" was a somewhat superficial title, he had to admit that it was fitting. Wizet had that ability to turn decay into something miraculous, as though he truly were the Fountain of Fair Fortune.
"Professor Quirrell, we worried you..." Wizet spoke up at just the right moment. "Sirius, please show him your hands."
"See, Mr. Quirrell?" Sirius rolled up his sleeves and waved both hands before Quirinus Quirrell.
He was in an excellent mood, his smile never leaving his face. "Perfectly intact! And when I drank the potion just now, I used both hands..."
"If that is the case..." The worry gradually faded from Quirinus Quirrell's face as he lowered his head to examine the pile of hand bones
