Fenrir Greyback's voice was hoarse. "After Christmas?"
"Mr. Greyback, your memory is getting worse and worse..." Wizet's tone carried a hint of pity.
"Didn't I just tell you? Christmas break is coming up, and I'll be leaving Hogwarts for a while."
That's right!
That tone was exactly right!
Fenrir Greyback secretly rejoiced. What he had been hoping for was precisely the tone and attitude Wizet was displaying now.
So high and mighty, so convinced that he had everything under control—it was far too much like Voldemort in the past!
Voldemort had also been at the height of his power then, believing he could rule England's magical world. Yet his arrogance had made him careless, allowing him to be defeated by the Boy Who Lived and causing his forces to crumble.
Now, something similar was happening. Wizet's arrogance and carelessness were his chance to escape alive!
As soon as Wizet finished speaking, he turned and slowly headed toward the laboratory door.
Watching Wizet's retreating figure gradually move away, Fenrir Greyback pressed his lips together even more tightly, trying not to reveal his delight as he locked his laughter deep in his throat.

Wizet was finally leaving!
Although he had entertained similar thoughts after every previous experiment, none of those past thoughts had ever been as intense as this one.
Yet truly holding back his smile was proving rather difficult for Fenrir Greyback now.
To avoid arousing Wizet's suspicions—and to keep himself from actually breaking into laughter—he suddenly opened his mouth and began panting heavily.
His mouth opened wider and wider, eventually twisting into a silent, crazed grin.

Would there even be another chance to meet?
At least, in Fenrir Greyback's view, there would not be.
