Snape said in an icy tone, "The students' desire for exploration has been especially vigorous lately, and I do happen to need a large quantity of frog brain matter..."
"And since you have such a strong desire for experience... come here every afternoon! Help me extract frog brain matter."
Upon hearing Snape say this, Fred and George could not help but gape.
Clearly, their earlier flattery of Snape had produced the complete opposite effect.
Rather than throwing them out of his office because of their flattery, as they had expected, Snape had taken the opportunity to impose a more long-term detention, intending to occupy their precious afternoons.
Fred hurriedly said, "Professor Snape, we need to attend Quidditch practice in the afternoons! Captain Angelina has high hopes for us—we can't let the team down!"
Wizet pressed his lips together even more tightly. Ever since Fred and George had mastered the Flight Charm, and with this being their final year at school, they had not been nearly as invested in Quidditch practice.
According to them, the main reason was Wizet.
Having mastered the Flight Charm, they could face the Beaters from other Houses with virtually no pressure at all. Yet whenever they faced Wizet, they still found themselves in a state of "giving it everything and still being unable to win."
Under such circumstances, Fred and George's relationship with Angelina Johnson had become, in Luna's words, more like that of mice and a cat.
Whenever there was Quidditch practice in the afternoon, Angelina Johnson had to stay on high alert during the final minute before class ended.
She did so to ensure that she could catch Fred and George before they escaped the classroom, then escort them to the pitch for practice.
However, Fred and George sounded incomparably sincere at that moment.
