Fred and George were squatting there with their backsides sticking out, leaning forward and swaying every now and then.
In front of them was a flowerpot containing a Mandrake.
Compared to the Mandrakes in the greenhouse, this one was astonishingly large. The leaves protruding from the soil alone were as long as a forearm.
Wizet had received this Mandrake from Professor Sprout two years ago.
At the time, Gilderoy Lockhart was still the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. He had claimed that "no one understands Mandrakes better than I do," only to be knocked unconscious by this Mandrake's cries.
Later, Professor Sprout confirmed that only Wizet could cultivate this Mandrake, so it was brought by Wizet to the Mystic Corridor.
Nourished continuously by Ancient Magic Power, the Mandrake displayed astonishing vitality and grew to its current size.
Like a bard, Fred cried out with dramatic rises and falls in his voice, "Oh! Lovely little Mandrake! Look at those enchanting leaves of yours!"
George was equally emotional. "Do you remember? We once fought side by side, and with that beautiful voice of yours, you defeated the evil Gilderoy Lockhart!"
Fred raised a hand and gently stroked one of the Mandrake's leaves. "Since we're comrades who defeated Gilderoy Lockhart together..."
George made the same gesture, his tone turning eager. "Could you help us out with a little favor?"
Wizet and Luna stepped closer and discovered that Neville and Hannah were also in the Mystic Corridor.
