For Hogwarts, in most cases, a student being absent for three or four consecutive days should not have caused much of a stir.

This was especially true during the period when fifth-years had just finished their O.W.L. exams, seventh-years had just finished their N.E.W.T. exams, and students in all other years had begun revising.

To prepare for the upcoming end-of-year exams, or to celebrate the end of the O.W.L. and N.E.W.T. exams, students simply had too many things they could be doing.

For example, while revising, they might become so anxious that they accidentally ruined a cauldron of potion and had to spend several days recuperating in the Hospital Wing.

Or perhaps, with the N.E.W.T. exams over, students had to confront the reality of graduation and consider their future prospects, leading them to leave Hogwarts in search of work.

All of those situations were perfectly normal. But for Hogwarts as it now stood, Wizet's absence was not one of them.

Naturally, Ravenclaw students were the first to notice something was wrong, since Wizet was one of their own.

Although Wizet often cast Confundus Charms on himself to minimize his presence and avoid unnecessary attention, that did not happen in the Ravenclaw common room.

As long as their questions concerned magical subjects, they could almost always find answers that left a lasting impression under Wizet's guidance. That was why they were so willing to seek his help.

If they went to the library and tried to find answers among its collection, they would often get only a single result.

But when they asked Wizet, what they gained was not merely an answer, but also a direction for thinking about magic, allowing them to remember the question more clearly.
