"Please! Please! I don't want to be a toad!"
Ever since Snape had brought her back to Spinner's End, Circe had not given up. She kept begging without pause.
Her voice was already hoarse, and her reddened eyes brimmed with tears, leaving her unable to see her surroundings clearly.
Even though Snape still gave no response, she showed no intention of stopping. She continued pleading bitterly, making the only effort she could.
"As long as I don't become a toad, I'll do anything you ask! Even if you tell me to die, I'll do it without the slightest hesitation! I swear!"
"Tell you to die?" Snape finally reacted. He rose to his feet and switched the positions of the two specimen jars. "If I really did that, wouldn't I be letting you off too easily?"

However, Snape was a Potions master, and according to Voldemort, an exceptionally skilled one at that.
That meant that even if she tried to end her own life, there was a very good chance Snape would be able to bring her back.
As a witch who had lived from ancient Greece to the present day, she knew very well what terrible treatment a toad would suffer in the hands of a Potions master.
That was precisely why she kept begging.
"Please! Please..." Circe continued pleading as she watched Snape reach into his pocket and pull out a wand.
A wand?
Her eyes widened at once, and she even forgot to beg.
Why could Snape take out a wand?
Judging from what had happened earlier,
