"Severus, I have no such intention. There are no two people in the world who are absolutely identical." Dumbledore smiled with great interest.
"Just like two feathers from the same phoenix. As long as the wand body and length differ, they will give birth to two different wands."
"Another weapon?" Snape's expression was very poor. "A wand won't submit one hundred percent, either. You should know about 'wand backfire,' shouldn't you?"
"Of course I know." Dumbledore let out a long sigh, his brows tightly furrowed. "In the past, I needed to face Grindelwald, and I overlooked Voldemort, who was still studying here."
"Severus, my energy is not what it used to be, and the situation I face remains grave. I need the help of others even more."
"Why do you always tell me these things?" Snape narrowed his eyes slightly. "Just because I gave him points?"
"He is different from Voldemort. He is willing to feel the beauty around him." Dumbledore shook his head gently. "You should have sensed what makes him unique, yes?"
"It's only a little cleverness." Snape did not deny it and sat down in front of Dumbledore. "Those eyes of his can see through appearances to the essence."
"So that is the case... No wonder!" Dumbledore nodded, his brow smoothing out. "I haven't only told you these things. I also asked Minerva and the others."
"You need not deliberately do anything, either. You only need to offer proper guidance, so that he can always walk the right path. I believe his nature will lead him to make the correct choice."
"Minerva and the others? Heh..." Snape crossed his arms, a cold smile curling at the corner of his mouth. "Including that Professor Quirinus? I don't need to tell you how important Defense Against the Dark Arts is, do I?"
"He..." Dumbledore revealed a pained expression. "That is what I wanted to speak to you about. Help keep an eye on Quirrell, will you?"
"So it really is him!" Snape's gaze sharpened in an instant. "Then you still let him take part in the fourth-floor trials?"
"Luring the enemy in, Severus," Dumbledore said. "At least for now, Quirrell appears to be acting alone. I want to draw out the person behind him."
"Then what about Harry Potter?" Snape pressed. "If he really appears, what will happen to Harry Potter?"
Dumbledore interlaced his fingers, his thumbs circling each other. "If the judgment from ten years ago was not wrong, there should be no danger to his life."
"The judgment from ten years ago?" Snape took a deep breath. "It was because of that judgment that he stayed beside two foolish Muggles for a full ten years!"
"And now you say it so lightly, that he needs to face Quirrell directly, even face the Dark Lord directly? And you still say there 'should' be no danger to his life?"
"It is precisely because I need to focus on Harry that I cannot divide my attention." Dumbledore gave another long sigh. "Wizet will have to depend on you all."
"I hope you can remember what you said." Snape stood, gathered his robes, and strode quickly out of the headmaster's office.
On the weekend, Wizet's life was just as full.
After sending his letter in the morning and arriving at the Great Hall, several roommates crowded around him.
"Morning, Wizet!" Chris handed him a cup of pumpkin juice. "I saw you writing homework there last night. You've already finished?"
"Thanks." Wizet took the pumpkin juice. "More or less. I want to look up some material to enrich that essay on turning matches into needles."
"How much did you write?" Chris asked next. "Don't tell me you didn't reach the required length?"
"I went over the length," Wizet said. "Professor McGonagall explained a bit more knowledge to me, so I want to add some content about 'Animagus.'"
Terry immediately made a suggestion. "Then after you finish breakfast, how about we go to the library? The Transfiguration essay... I didn't reach the required length."
Anthony followed right after him. "And the Potions Class homework. The properties of the ingredients for Boil-Cure Potion—I feel like I missed a little."
Michael nodded in agreement. "I haven't finished looking up that one either. One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi didn't list everything, and I wrote even less than Anthony."
The unpleasantness from Flying Class had not lasted long. He and Anthony had already made up and started discussing homework together again.
Looking at the buttered bread, cured meat, and roasted ham they handed over, Wizet asked with a half-smile, "Did you all plan this together?"
His roommates smiled sheepishly.
Terry said, "We're just missing a little bit. Once we finish, we can go out and have fun!"
Michael shrugged. "There are Quidditch tryouts this afternoon. Anthony and I plan to go take a look."
"If the homework is finished, there won't be any burden," Anthony added.
"Oh, right... the Quidditch tryouts this afternoon." Wizet remembered that Cho Chang had also mentioned this to him last night.
Cho Chang planned to participate in the tryouts and see if she had a chance to join the Ravenclaw team. She had even invited him over to cheer her on.
Under his roommates' expectant gazes, Wizet nodded and agreed.
This was the first weekend since the start of term, and there were not too many students in the library.
Most of the people who came here were in groups of three or five. Some gathered in front of the shelves searching for information, while others sat in the rest area and discussed things quietly.
"That one seems to be a Gryffindor. That really is rare." Michael looked toward the farthest corner of the rest area.
Hermione sat there alone, her fluffy brown hair covering her cheeks. She seemed to be writing homework with her head lowered.
Ravenclaw had its own library, but its collection was not complete. Some information still had to be found in the library.
Wizet was used to it. He could often see Hermione here, always alone every time.
He said quietly to his roommates, "For the Potions Class homework, look for the seventh issue of Practical Potions Master from 1986. There's relevant content inside, published by Professor Snape."
"And the second issue of Transfiguration Today from 1895. It has an essay on turning matches into needles, written by Headmaster Dumbledore. I also finished the homework based on these two magazines."
"Amazing!" His roommates all gave him thumbs-up. "You've actually read that much."
Wizet smiled and waved his hand. "It's all thanks to Madam Pince. She helped me discover that magical journals are actually so interesting."
Irma Pince was the Hogwarts librarian. As long as one did not break the library's rules, she was a fairly kind lady.
Although she rarely smiled or chatted, the amount she had read was astonishing. Wizet could always get from her the whereabouts of the books he wanted.
His roommates gathered at the newspaper and periodical section to look for the journals, while Wizet came before Madam Pince. "Madam Pince, may I ask where I should look if I want to read books about 'Animagus'?"
"At your age..." Madam Pince looked Wizet up and down. "Coming into contact with 'Animagus' may be dangerous."
