Inferius Besiege Island

Sirius Black and Remus Lupin raised their wands, and two fist-sized balls of light appeared, barely illuminating the edge of the island in the middle of the lake.

There were pairs upon pairs of deathly pale hands there, all clutching at the island's edge. The Inferi in the lake used both hands and feet to crawl ashore in grotesquely twisted postures, surrounding the island from all sides.

It was the first time Harry had seen such a scene. He instinctively took a step back just as an Inferius that had climbed onto the island leapt up and lunged at them, trailing a whooshing gust of wind.

The magical restrictions Voldemort had left behind also took effect at that moment, greatly suppressing the Illumination Spell;

not only could it not drive the Inferi away, it instead acted like a series of markers, allowing them to pinpoint Sirius Black and Remus Lupin and attack them first.

Harry gritted his teeth and tried to calm himself, telling himself that this was nothing more than a Quidditch match;

he forced his arm up and thrust out his wand, shouting the incantation with all his strength, "Expelliarmus!"

A flash of red light shot out like an arrow at a leaping Inferius, blasting it straight away.

"Incarcerous!" Remus Lupin shouted. On the right side, even the Inferi suspended in midair were drawn by an invisible force, gathering in the direction his wand pointed.

"Incendio!" Sirius Black's incantation followed. A burst of flame erupted amid the gathered Inferi, swallowing them in blazing fire as an indescribable stench spread through the air.

Apart from that unbearable smell, Harry looked toward where the flames had vanished. With a Seeker's talent, he seemed to catch sight of faint glimmers of light;
