Protagonist's POV:
When we got up at noon the next day, the sky outside was still gray and overcast.
I pulled open the curtains and took a look.
Thick clouds hung low over the city.
No matter how I looked at it, it didn't seem like weather suited for going out.
"Looks like it really is going to rain."
I sighed.
I'd promised Lara yesterday that we would go to the amusement park today, but it seemed we could only postpone it.
Aisha sat up in bed.
"Big Brother~ The weather forecast said it might rain heavily this afternoon."
"Then there's nothing we can do."
I turned to look at Lara.
She was standing by the window, staring outside with a serious expression.
"Papa~"
"Hmm?"
"What kind of weather is best for going to an amusement park?"
"Sunny weather, I guess."
I thought about it.
"After all, it's winter now. It'll be more comfortable to go out when it's sunny."
"Oh!"
Lara nodded, then snapped her fingers and looked at us.
"Done!"
"What's done?"
"The weather~"
I turned toward the window, then froze.
The dark clouds that had been hanging low just moments ago were rapidly dispersing.
Sunlight streamed down through the gaps in the clouds, and the entire sky had become incomparably clear.
I fell silent, and so did Aisha.
Lara, meanwhile, excitedly pointed outside.
"Papa! Summer Mama! The sky's clear! We can go to that amusement park now, right?"
Aisha came to her senses and spoke.
"Then let's go!"
"Wait."
I hurriedly grabbed Aisha.
"Don't you think that change in the weather was a little strange?"
"Hm?"
Aisha blinked.
"Big Brother~ We're by the coast, you know. The weather changes easily here, doesn't it?"
That seemed reasonable.
It wasn't as if a child could change the weather, right?
