Linus, who happened to be passing by, silently tossed aside his broom, shut the dojo doors, and slipped into the back courtyard.
Hilde sighed. "What are you apologizing for? I never said I was angry."
"You're lying." Isolte kept her head lowered. "You left on your own before I woke up that morning, then refused to see me for days. You were definitely angry, weren't you?"
"I told you, I wasn't."
"Really not?"
"No means no."

Only after hearing Hilde say that did Isolte finally raise her head a little and cautiously study Hilde's expression.
