Dilik was no longer a minor noble from the countryside. He had taken Darius's place as Chancellor of the Asura Kingdom.
Upon taking office, Dilik's first act was to launch sweeping reforms. He retained the former administration's officials who could do their jobs and found ways to kick the incompetent ones out of the royal capital, assigning them posts elsewhere. He also brought in nobles from his hometown to serve under him.
After all, Dilik came from a remote region and had little influence in the royal capital. Even as Chancellor, he would struggle to get certain orders carried out.
