Blood Aura is formed only after a martial artist completes the Body Tempering stage of a corresponding martial art and comprehends the “spirit” of the relevant demonic beast. This comprehension requires personally observing the creature; no substitute can bypass it. 67 115

• Bone core — Blood Essence is merged into a selected bone, such as an arm, leg, spine, sternum, or skull. That bone becomes the core through which the new aura circulates. 70

• Spirit — Perfected martial artists can create vivid, seemingly spiritual forms of demonic beasts and other living creatures. 84
• Void traversal — Spiritual Blood Aura can be spread beneath the feet and manipulated against the air, allowing a martial artist to move through the void and fly for limited periods. 84 91

Combat Use

Blood Aura can be infused into martial attacks, weapons, and killing moves.

• It can sever or withstand attacks that ordinary blood qi cannot, including cultivator techniques such as lightning spells. 71

Transformation into True Aura

The orthodox method for transforming Blood Aura into True Aura requires perfected Blood Auras to be tempered by destructive forces of heaven and earth, such as extreme flames, heavenly thunder, or absolute cold. These forces smelt their conflicting attributes into a unified, higher-order energy. 156

• True Aura retains the ability to drive and amplify killing moves despite no longer possessing the distinct attributes of its original Blood Auras. 158
