Background / History
Rour was raised in the Thunder Tribe near the Thunder Mountains. Because he had only come of age that year, he had never been permitted to leave the tribe. Though physically smaller and more human-looking than full Minotaurs, he possessed strength greater than many adult Minotaurs. 132 133
He met Diya during a Minotaur strength contest. Rour challenged him expecting an easy victory, but their contest ended in a draw after both exhausted themselves. Respecting Diya's strength, Rour asked to travel with him beyond the tribe. 132 133
During their ascent of the Thunder Mountains, Diya trained Rour by leaving low-level Magic Beasts to him. Rour demonstrated his innate War Stomp talent against a gray-white leopard and adopted a heavy double-bladed axe from Diya's spatial ring. 133 136
Diya later gave him the gold-tier Frost Battle Axe and, after Rour reached peak Guardian Rank, offered him rapid power in exchange for a master-servant contract. Rour accepted because Diya had explained the cost openly and had earned his trust. He inherited all of Diya's Barbarian-class skills and formally became Diya's servant. 140 144 145
After Diya departed, Rour returned to the Thunder Tribe with Pals to continue growing stronger. Over the next two years, he and Jason repeatedly ventured into the Thunder Mountains, fighting and seeking relics. 180 437
By the time Diya reunited with him, Rour had matured into a battle-hardened warrior. He later served as Diya's enforcer, trained students in live combat, and became a major force at the Demon-Guarding Defense Line. 437 489 605
Appearance
Rour initially appeared more human than most Minotaurs: he stood around two meters tall, had extremely short horns, and lacked the massive physique typical of adult Minotaurs. After years of combat and training, he became visibly more muscular and imposing. 132 437
- Short horns, described as less than a finger's length when first introduced. 132
- A human-like face that stands out among Minotaurs. 132
- Dense, steel-like musculature developed through constant battle and cultivation. 437
- Lightning-like gaze and a fierce, bloodthirsty aura in adulthood. 437
- Typically carries a large battle axe. 133 446
Personality
Rour is straightforward, enthusiastic, and intensely competitive. He seeks out stronger opponents, complains when prey is too weak, and treats battle as both entertainment and proof of his growth. 136 446 500
Despite his roughness, he is loyal to Diya and accepts his guidance without hesitation. He chose servitude only after weighing its cost, and later consistently refers to Diya as his master. 144 145 463
He can be impulsive and tactless, often provoking enemies or overlooking practical details. However, he learns from defeats: after Tagao's Attack Backlash curse punishes his melee assault, he follows Diya's advice and changes to ranged attacks. 447 490 491
Abilities & Skills
Minotaur Strength
Rour's natural physical power exceeds that of many adult Minotaurs despite his mixed heritage.
- Matched Diya in a prolonged bare-handed strength contest. 132 133
- Could defeat Guardian-rank Magic Beasts before receiving his inheritance. 136
- Defeated Iron Wolf Group vice leader Raging Wolf with a single punch. 489
- Released an overwhelming aura that immobilized and hurled nearly one hundred Iron Wolf Group fighters into their own gate. 491
War Stomp
Rour possesses a Minotaur racial talent used to create a decisive opening against stronger enemies.
- Used it to help defeat a peak Guardian Rank leopard Magic Beast. 136
- Before acquiring the Frost Battle Axe, he relied on it to defeat enemies above his normal level. 141
Barbarian Inheritance
Diya passed all Barbarian-class skills from the Hell Fragments' inheritance to Rour. The inheritance includes active combat techniques, passive abilities, and support skills. 145 147
- Greatly increased his cultivation speed; initially, his refinement rate became more than ten times faster than before. 147
- Provides sustained combat power and endurance that allow him to contend with more technically refined opponents. 446
- Its energy remained partly dormant after the initial Spirit Rank breakthrough, continuing to fuel later growth. 147
Heavy Strike
An inherited technique that concentrates Force into a single devastating axe blow.
- First inherited skill Rour comprehended. 148
- Created a frost-covered crater when used with the Frost Battle Axe. 148
- Initially difficult for him to control because of his recent breakthrough. 148
Mobility and Assault Skills
Rour uses inherited movement skills to enter enemy formations with overwhelming force.
- Leap Attack — launches himself into a target area and delivers a crushing axe strike. 467
- Leap — allows rapid repositioning after an attack. 467
Battle Cries and Shouts
Rour can strengthen allies and weaken enemies with Barbarian vocal techniques.
- Battle Cry: Howl — creates a durable protective layer around allies. 466
- Battle Cry: Battle Command — improves allies' strength and overall combat performance. 466
- Battle Cry: Battle Trench — weakens enemies struck by its spreading ripple. 466
- Shout: War Cry — disrupts nearby enemies during close-quarters combat. 467
- At the Demon-Guarding Defense Line, his strengthening Shouts enhanced soldiers' vigor, recovery, and combat power across the battlefield. 605
Combat Adaptability
Rour primarily favors direct melee combat but can alter his approach when necessary.
- Learned to avoid Tagao's Attack Backlash curse by using long-range attacks instead of striking summoned targets at close range. 447
- Can suppress his Origin Force to spar against weaker opponents, though its quality remains above that of a true fighter at the same displayed rank. 446
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Frost Battle Axe — Low-grade gold-tier axe with a freezing attribute; weighs over three hundred jin, slows nearby targets with cold air, and can freeze wounds shut. 140 141 148
- Flame battle axe — Mid-grade dark gold battle axe found with Jason in the Thunder Mountains; stronger than the Frost Battle Axe and imbued with a flame aura. 437
- Initial double-bladed heavy axe — Nearly two meters long, pitch-black, and selected from Diya's collection of top-quality White Rank weapons. 133
Relationships
- Diya — Master, benefactor, mentor, and friend. Diya supplied Rour with weapons, passed down the Barbarian inheritance, and continues guiding his cultivation. 133 145 429 463
- Jason — Training companion and fellow servant of Diya. The pair explored the Thunder Mountains and found relics together for two years. 148 437
- Tagao — Rival and fellow subordinate. Their frequent arguments and sparring reflect mutual competitiveness; Tagao's curses forced Rour to refine his tactics. 446 447 605
- Molande — Sparring partner. Rour respects Molande's superior experience and hopes to eventually follow Diya's example by surpassing stronger opponents. 446
- Diana — Initially met through the Minotaur Tribe. Rour later escorted her to the Boge Family manor, where she unsuccessfully attempted to recruit him. 132 429
- Nataya — Diya's disciple and an ally Rour fiercely protects, including when he blocks First Prince Krino from approaching her. 474
Story Role / Major Arcs
Thunder Tribe and Thunder Mountains
Rour enters the story as a young half-Minotaur seeking to leave his tribe and see the outside world. His partnership with Diya transforms him from a physically gifted Guardian Rank warrior into the inheritor of the Barbarian class. 132 133 145
Guardian Cave Defense
After completing his inheritance absorption, Rour faces Ger, Gore, and Jason alone at the guardian cave. He awakens the Frost Battle Axe's freezing attribute, uses Heavy Strike, and kills Ger after Diya intervenes. 147 148
Return to Diya's Service
Rour spends two years honing himself in the Thunder Mountains before rejoining Diya. Diana's attempt to recruit him establishes that his loyalty remains with Diya alone. 429 437
Count's Residence Training
Rour spars with Molande and Tagao, developing greater tactical awareness. Diya accelerates his refinement of stored Source Power, rapidly raising Rour to Middle Emperor Rank. 446 447 463 464
Iron Wolf Group Raid
Diya places Rour in charge of students attacking the Iron Wolf Group so they can gain real combat experience. Rour overwhelms the group's rank-and-file fighters through aura alone while reserving his direct intervention for major threats. 489 491
Demon-Guarding Defense Line
As a lower Saint Rank expert, Rour leads Hell Vultures and supports the human army against demons. Rather than relying only on personal kills, he uses battlefield-wide Shouts to preserve and empower the defenders. 605
Trivia

- He insists that Minotaurs are not cows and do not eat grass. 136
- Ordinary drinking cups are too small for him; Diya's residence keeps an oversized cup specifically for Rour. 446
