Background / History

Long Yuan was one of the ten Titled Douluo worshipers summoned for Li Yuan by the Strongest Family Cultivation System. He immediately acknowledged Li Yuan as his lord alongside the other worshipers, demonstrating complete loyalty and precise control over his formidable pressure. 1

After Li Yuan awakened the World-Destroying Black Dragon martial soul and suffered a backlash of wicked fire, Long Yuan examined him and identified its source as the martial soul's extreme evil power. He warned that repeated outbreaks could consume Li Yuan's reason, then advised finding an ultimate-ice-attribute woman to suppress it through dual cultivation. 3

As Nibelungen expanded, Long Yuan served as Li Yuan's primary enforcer. He forced Tianshui Academy to accept affiliation, defeated Dugu Bo in Sunset Forest, intimidated Dugu Bo into loyalty, and violently repelled Spirit Hall personnel who threatened Li Yuan or his recruits. 4 6 7 16 17

Long Yuan is a middle-aged man with a resolute, blade-cut face. Dragon shadows accompany his presence, and his robes move without wind when he releases his power. 1

Personality

Long Yuan is unwaveringly loyal, deferential, and protective toward Li Yuan. He obeys orders immediately—even halting a fatal attack on Dugu Bo the instant Li Yuan calls him back. 6

He is also ruthless toward perceived threats. When Dugu Bo joins Nibelungen, Long Yuan graphically threatens prolonged torture should he betray Li Yuan; Dugu Bo is visibly terrified by the warning. 7 He holds Spirit Hall in open contempt and laughs approvingly when A Liang insults it. 16

Despite his severity, Long Yuan can be informal and encouraging with those under Nibelungen's protection. He approves Tie Mu as a recruit with potential, urges A Liang to drink with him after joining, and bluntly pushes Tie Mu to continue learning despite his age. 14 16 21
