Inside a spaceship in the universe, the massive King Cold sat in a chair, looking over the information in his hand. He could not help narrowing his eyes, a cold glint flashing in them.
"That bastard. He had something this good and actually didn't tell me. Looks like he doesn't want to live."
The information in his hand described how Slug had gone to Earth to regain his youth.
From this, it was clear that there were spies belonging to King Cold's side within Slug's army. What he did not know, however, was that Slug was already dead.
Slug's army and theirs were in a cooperative relationship. Although King Cold no longer managed things, this piece of information had piqued his interest, which was why he was heading to Earth to check it out. If it was true, then he would make a wish too.
"How much longer until we reach Earth?"
King Cold asked.
The person piloting the ship checked the time and replied.
"Estimated arrival in five minutes."
King Cold nodded and looked up out the window at the blue planet drawing ever closer, revealing an unreadable smile.
"Wow! Goku, you're just way too strong! What exactly was that form you showed just now? It actually had such terrifying power!"
Krillin was extremely excited right now, completely immersed in amazement at Goku's strength. The way he looked, it was as if he himself had defeated Slug.
Piccolo, beside him, furrowed his brow, his gaze fixed on Goku as though trying to see something from him.
After a while, Piccolo slowly asked, "Goku, what you used just now was..." But before he could finish, Goku interrupted him.
Son Goku shook his head helplessly and sighed. "To be honest, I'm not too sure what happened either. At the time, I just felt an unprecedented power surge up inside me, and then my body changed into that on its own." With that, Goku scratched his head, looking utterly confused.
Just as Son Goku was full of doubt, a familiar voice suddenly rang in everyone's ears. "Goku, in my opinion, you've already become a Super Saiyan."
It was North Kai speaking to Goku and the others through telepathy.
Hearing the words "Super Saiyan," Son Goku could not help pausing slightly, his brows lifting high as he thought to himself, Super Saiyan? What's that supposed to be?
North Kai then explained the origins of the Super Saiyan.
After hearing what North Kai said, Krillin exclaimed in amazement.
"If that's the case, doesn't that mean Goku has become the number one warrior in the universe?"
North Kai's next words were like a bucket of cold water poured over Krillin's head.
"You're being far too naive. There's a very hateful guy in the universe, and he's even stronger than Goku."
Just as he was about to continue, North Kai, on King Kai's Planet, noticed that Son Goku and the others were looking up at the sky.
So the two antennae on his head twitched, and he shifted his perspective.
A huge spaceship could be seen landing. The hatch opened, and a group of soldiers walked out. Then the burly King Cold stepped out.
"So this is Earth. Not bad. It should sell for a good price. No, no, no, I can't sell it. I'm going to keep it as part of my collection."
Once he thought of something as miraculous as the Dragon Balls being here, how could he possibly sell it? He almost wanted to slap himself.
Looking around, the surroundings clearly bore signs of battle.
"Hey, you're Earthlings, aren't you? Tell me, where are the Dragon Balls Slug used?"
King Cold swept his icy gaze over Son Goku's group.
Krillin swallowed, his expression very grave.
"Goku, this guy's definitely trouble."
"Are you one of Slug's companions?" Son Goku asked.
Hearing this, King Cold laughed disdainfully.
"Companion? In my eyes, he was nothing but trash. Enough. Stop wasting my time and hand over the Dragon Balls."
Son Goku smiled.
"Sorry, but we can't give you the Dragon Balls. Once they've been used, you have to wait a year before they can be used again."
King Cold looked at Son Goku and found that neither his expression nor his eyes changed at all. In other words, he was not lying. Did that mean he had come here for nothing?
How could he possibly have come for nothing? As long as he wiped out every living being on this planet and added it to his collection, would the Dragon Balls not be his?
"You, you, you, and you. Take your squads and kill every Earthling."
King Cold pointed out four people and ordered them to lead their teams to slaughter the Earthlings. But just as those four were about to move, Son Goku in the distance launched an attack. Only, he was not attacking them. His target was King Cold, because to catch bandits, you first caught the king.
"You reckless thing. You've got some nerve, actually daring to attack me."
King Cold's expression darkened.
"I'm reckless? I think the reckless one is you. Ah-ha!"
He mobilized his energy, transformed into a Super Saiyan, and swiftly fired a Kamehameha. With a thunderous boom, blue light illuminated the area, and the spaceship was caught in the blast, malfunctioning.
When the light of the explosion vanished, King Cold appeared in a wretched state, while his cannon-fodder subordinates could be said to have suffered heavy casualties.
"That color of your hair... Could it be that you're..."
But before King Cold could finish speaking, Son Goku fired another Kamehameha. This one was even more powerful than the last.
"Super... Saiyan..."
Gravely wounded, King Cold had no strength left to resist, and died just like that in the explosion.
After releasing his transformation, Son Goku gasped for breath. Sure enough, he still wasn't quite used to that sudden surge of energy.
"Looks like Son Goku was infected by the murderous intent in the Super Saiyan form."
That said, Luo Chuan had no intention of interfering. In any case, Son Goku could purge that murderous intent; it was only a matter of time. Since the show was over, it was time for him to leave.
Hidden in the shadows, Luo Chuan used Instant Transmission and arrived on the rooftop of a tall building. With a thought, he said, "Return to the main timeline," and disappeared.
