Sparring with the God of Destruction (Part 1)

Earth, in the main-timeline universe.

Today was another bright, sunny day.

Luo Chuan walked out of the hotel. Because he was so handsome, the girl at the front desk had nearly gone into his room last night.

Luckily, he had held himself back. What a joke. He was a straight man of steel. He was not afraid of being laughed at for saying it—he had never dated in his last life, and it was even less possible in this one.

He wandered around aimlessly, and two hours later, he walked out of a bathhouse.

"Comfortable. All right, next up, I'm going to the God of Destruction Realm to train."

Luo Chuan stretched. Before that, though, he had to buy more food to take to the God of Destruction Realm.

If you asked where his money came from, of course it was given to him by "kindhearted people."

Luo Chuan headed toward the food street. Half an hour later, after buying bag after bag of food, he found an empty corner and vanished with Instant Transmission.

In the God of Destruction Realm, Son Goku was fighting Whis, while Vegeta was practicing Ultra Ego.

Whoosh!

Luo Chuan appeared.

"Yo! Everyone's here. Perfect. Come on, everyone, let's eat."

He greeted them and set a huge pile of delicious food on the ground.

Beerus sniffed, his eyes lighting up. He came over to the food, picked up a bag, and opened it to find sausages inside—sausages without any technological additives. He picked one up and started showing it off right away.

"Numbing and spicy. Not bad."

Though that was what he said, his hands did not slow in the slightest, as if he was afraid someone else would snatch the whole bag of sausages away.

Son Goku, Vegeta, and Whis also started eating.

By Earth time, a little over an hour passed, and everything Luo Chuan had brought was eaten clean.

After eating and drinking his fill, Beerus stretched, smacked his lips a few times, and looked at Luo Chuan.

"I'm full, I'm full. Hey, kid, want to do a little after-meal digestion exercise with me?"

Luo Chuan looked at Beerus in surprise. After thinking for barely a fraction of a second, he nodded. This was perfect—he also wanted to see how strong Beerus was. There were rumors that Beerus's growth relied entirely on late-stage patches.

"Oh! Vegeta, we've got a good show to watch."

Son Goku's eyes shone. At last, he had a chance to see Luo Chuan's strength.

Vegeta gave a grunt, his burning gaze fixed on the two of them.

Whis looked at the two of them and thought to himself, Lord Beerus has actually learned to plan ahead.

The reason he thought this was because something had happened earlier. Only deities like them knew about it, but he imagined that in a few days, the Grand Priest would notify everyone.

Luo Chuan and Beerus came to a vast, open field and faced each other. Between them, it was as if an invisible pressure field had formed, and even the ground trembled violently under the powerful energy they released.

Just then, Beerus moved without warning. In an instant, he vanished from where he stood, appearing behind Luo Chuan the next moment. He suddenly threw what seemed like a simple punch, but it contained immense power as it smashed straight toward the back of Luo Chuan's head!

Luo Chuan seemed to have sensed Beerus's movement long ago. His body shifted slightly to the side, and he avoided the strike with ease by the narrowest of margins. Immediately after, Luo Chuan reacted swiftly. He spun around, raised his left leg high, and, with a sharp whistling sound, kicked viciously toward Beerus's abdomen.

Seeing this, Beerus gave a cold snort and immediately crossed his arms in front of his chest, taking Luo Chuan's astonishingly powerful kick head-on.

With a thunderous bang, dazzling sparks burst out where the two collided. Although Beerus successfully blocked Luo Chuan's kick, he had clearly underestimated his opponent's strength.

The immense impact forced Beerus to slide back several meters against his will, dragging two deep furrows through the ground.

"Interesting." After steadying himself, an extremely excited gleam suddenly flashed through Beerus's eyes.

Without the slightest hesitation, Beerus launched another ferocious round of attacks.

In an instant, he turned into a dazzling streak of purple lightning, racing toward Luo Chuan at a speed so fast it left one dumbfounded.

Almost in the blink of an eye, that purple lightning had already appeared in every direction around Luo Chuan—front, back, left, and right.

The next second, Beerus's iron fists, as if forged from steel, bombarded Luo Chuan like a violent storm.

This time, Luo Chuan did not defend. He raised both hands and also swung his fists without stopping.

Every intense collision between their fists erupted with an extremely dull, heavy boom, the sound like thunder splitting open above the nine heavens, deafening to the ear.

Under those heart-stopping impacts, the space beneath their feet where the two stood could no longer withstand such terrifying force. Fine cracks began to appear, one after another. Like a spiderweb, they spread rapidly in all directions at a speed visible to the naked eye.

What was astonishing was that the cracks that had just appeared rapidly healed on their own in the blink of an eye, as if they possessed some kind of miraculous self-recovery ability.

At that moment, Luo Chuan suddenly let out a thunderous shout. The muscles all over his body tensed violently, and in the next instant, he exploded with force, forcibly knocking Beerus back several steps.

After successfully forcing his opponent back, Luo Chuan drew on the vast energy within him. In an instant, brilliant light flared around him, and his formerly calm aura surged like a raging tide. As that energy churned, Luo Chuan transformed into Super Saiyan 1!

"Oh!!" Seeing this scene, a trace of surprise flashed through Beerus's abyss-deep eyes.

The reason he was surprised was that this energy had already come close to the Ninth Dimension.

In the blink of an eye, before Beerus could react any further, Luo Chuan's figure flashed, and he appeared above Beerus's head like a specter.

Without the slightest hesitation, he clenched both hands tightly into fists, brought them together, and smashed them down with the force of a mountain collapsing.

When the light of the explosion faded, Beerus and Luo Chuan were both unharmed.

"Boy, are you planning to show me your strength one step at a time?"

Beerus said with a smile.

Luo Chuan smiled as well.

"Lord Beerus, aren't you also gradually raising your energy? Besides, isn't this exactly what makes a sparring match fun?"

"Mm, you've got a point. All right, then let's begin our second round."

Luo Chuan transformed into Super Saiyan 2, and Beerus raised his energy accordingly. The second round of battle was about to begin.
