When the Waters Flowed, Divine Intent Finally Came

Xu Wuyi froze for a moment.

He had thought Shen Jin would urge him to break through as soon as possible. After all, the Federation was short of Divine Intent Grandmasters. One more would give it that much more confidence on the Astral Battlefield.

"I know what you're thinking," Shen Jin said, his voice hoarse but gentle. "The Federation does need Divine Intent Grandmasters, as many as possible. The sooner you break through, the sooner the Federation gains another pillar to hold it up."

He paused, his tone turning more earnest.

"But you're different. Your foundation is too solid. No Domain Realm Grandmaster in the Federation's history can compare with you. To rush across the threshold into Divine Intent just to break through sooner would waste that foundation."

He raised his right hand and drew a line through the air.

"On the path of martial arts, every realm lays the foundation for the next. The firmer the foundation, the broader the road ahead once you step into the next realm."

"The foundation you've built in the Domain Realm surpasses anyone's in the Federation's history. If you keep this up, your path after reaching Divine Intent will be broader than anyone else's."

He lowered his hand, his gaze growing deeper.

"Divine Intent isn't the end. Most of the Federation's current Divine Intent Grandmasters are stuck at one level or another, unable to advance an inch. It isn't for lack of effort. Their foundations weren't solid enough."

"They moved too quickly through the Domain Realm and left too many hidden weaknesses. Those weaknesses weren't obvious before Divine Intent, but once they reached it, the weaknesses grew a thousandfold
