Xu Wuyi stepped out through the light gate. He passed through the silver-white corridor and headed toward the entrance of the Spatial Passage leading to his territory. His footsteps were soft against the floor, making almost no echo in the empty corridor.
The entrance to the Spatial Passage was in the outskirts of headquarters. That area was quieter than where he lived. The walls around it shifted from silver-white to dark gray, the lighting was dimmer, and an extremely fine layer of energy dust floated through the air.
The entrance itself was a circular door roughly three meters in diameter, with seven rings identical to the Star Alliance emblem embedded in its frame.
He stood before the door and fed the coordinate data from his consciousness into the entrance's control system.
The space beyond the door changed from dark gray to dark gold, the exact same color as the Firmament of the Astral Battlefield.

He entered the Spatial Passage. The passage itself was an enclosed tunnel whose length could not be conventionally defined. Its interior was lit by an even, warm glow. After taking only a few steps forward, he felt the faint distortion of folded space.
