Future, West City.
The weather here was bright and clear, unlike the world Kashius came from, where it was winter. The reason for this phenomenon was probably the difference in the rules of time.
Bulma's home, underground laboratory.
The place was filled with all kinds of experimental equipment and massive electronic computers. At the very center stood a huge machine with a strange design.
Above the machine were numerous connected glass bottles, mechanical components, wires, and devices of varying shapes.
Below it was a small prototype needle port connected to a solid glass container.
The solid glass container held some pure blue liquid. Fluorescent lights continuously flickered within it, making it rather beautiful up close.
"Buds, hand me that machine over there." Beside the control console, Bulma held a tool in each hand as she repaired the components inside it.
"Hm, okay, Aunt Bulma." Buds, who had been sitting blankly in an electronic chair, paused briefly before handing the small machine beside him to Bulma.
"Are you worried because Kashius isn't here again?" Taking the small machine Buds handed over, Bulma began connecting it to the internal components of the console.
Buds said nothing. He instinctively stepped back, then walked over to the glass container holding the pure blue liquid.
"The time machine's fuel is collecting so slowly. At a rate of barely one-tenth per month, it'll take at least half a year before the time machine can make a round trip."
With his head lowered, Buds stared intently at the pure blue liquid in the glass container. His eyes were unfocused, as though he were pondering something.
"There's nothing we can do about that, Buds. The collection and conversion requirements for the time machine's materials are just too strict.
But I'll think of a way to improve it later
