After Trunks's introduction, Jiang Ling and the Bulma of the future got acquainted.
Watching the poised and composed Bulma brew tea, Jiang Ling felt a little strange.

After all, it was the same face—one youthful, the other mature and charming.
A hazy image surfaced in Jiang Ling's mind of Bulma's dazed, misty-eyed look last night.
"So, you came from the past timeline?"
Future Bulma asked with a smile.
Jiang Ling took a sip of tea and said seriously, "Yes. I came here in the Time Machine with Trunks because I wanted to see how strong the Androids are."
"You want to fight the Androids?!" Bulma was somewhat surprised when she heard that. She looked Jiang Ling over and said tactfully, "I know all the strong fighters on Earth in that era. If I'm not mistaken, I don't think I know you."
What she meant was that she did not want Jiang Ling to go throw his life away.
Trunks smiled and explained, "Mom, Jiang Ling is a Saiyan too. He can turn into a Super Saiyan as well, and he's a little stronger than me."
"Huh? Is that so? Then why don't I know you..."
