Background / History

Bulma first visits Kami’s Lookout following the collapse of her relationship with Yamcha. Though she expects the breakup to hurt, she instead feels relieved, recognizing that their incompatible personalities and constant arguments had worn away their affection. There she meets Jiang Ling, notices his Saiyan tail, exchanges contact information with him, and invites the group to a party at her home 6.

Her interest in Jiang Ling develops through their shared work. Bulma contacts him to test a gravity-device prototype at Capsule Corporation, then helps stabilize and modify it into a Gravity Training Room.
