Asterion and Selenia were imprisoned near their lair.

They exerted all their strength to increase the surge of magic within their bodies, and the single horn on their foreheads shone with an increasingly bright silver-white light.

Numerous transparent cracks grew in the air, starting from the single horn, striving to surround the body.

Just wait a little longer, and you'll be able to break free from your surroundings.

The two Unicorn looked together toward the dark corner of the nest.

Accompanied by that low, weak, and cold voice, a figure wrapped in a black robe and wearing a hood emerged from the darkness.

The figure raised its head, and a faint black mist swirled around its silver-gray ghost mask.

The hooded man raised his right hand, his thin, pale hand gripping a wand, the tip of which was pointed at Asterion.

A dark red light, accompanied by arcs of electricity, emerged from the staff and quickly converged at the top.

"Forget about the male Unicorn, I want the baby in the female Unicorn's belly!"

"I can feel that pure and beautiful life force has borne fruit! Now is the perfect time to enjoy it!"

Hearing the piercing, frenzied voice in his mind, Quirrell suppressed his headache, turned his staff around, and shifted it toward a smaller Unicorn with a noticeably bulging belly.

In an instant, the sound of porcelain shattering suddenly rang out.

Asterion broke free of its restraints first, and without hesitation, it unleashed its full power, stomping its hooves towards Quirrell, who was clad in a black robe.

The surface of the sharper, spiraling horns had condensed an almost tangible silver light, making the tips of the horns appear to have lengthened considerably.

Unicorn Horn possess unique magical properties, making injuries from them difficult to heal.

Given a wizard's physique, being stabbed essentially means the end of the battle.

Asterion aimed directly at the figure's chest, or more precisely, at the heart.

It only seeks to kill with a single blow.

Quirrell was completely caught off guard, not even having time to twist his wand.

The Unicorn's burst of speed was astonishing, especially when it was in a state of rage.

The silvery light from the tip of the long horn was about to touch Quirrell's robes...

The soil around Quirrell suddenly softened, turning into a grayish-black mud, causing Asterion to sink into it with all four feet and wriggle directly onto its torso.

Asterion's figure seemed to have been paused, and he froze on the spot.

Only then did cold sweat begin to bead on Quirrell's forehead.

"Master, we've succeeded!"

"Heh, well done, Quirinus."

"Yes, it was magic you bestowed, powerful magic..."

Quirrell trembled as he touched his chest, trying to calm his racing heartbeat.

The spell used to thwart the capture of the Unicorn was taught to him by Voldemort; it was a rare, automatically triggered protective Dark Magic.

However, each use requires advance preparation, including dissecting the hearts of ten Moke and then using them to create a complex potion to coat the entire body.

During this time, Quirrell spent his time searching for and tracking the Unicorn in the Forbidden Forest, and preparing for this Dark Magic.

Another crisp cracking sound rang out.

Selenia also broke free from her restraints.

But before Selenia could do anything, Asterion let out a sharp, short hiss just before his mouth was sealed with mud.

This is telling Selenia to run away and ignore it.

Selenia needed neither to hesitate nor to choose.

Countless withered yellow thorns have sprouted from the surrounding earth and trees, growing wildly toward the sky, climbing, intertwining, and entangled with each other.

In the blink of an eye, it solidified into a shield, excluding the Forbidden Forest and the moonlight.

Now, only Selenia herself emitted a faint white light, slightly dispelling the darkness.

Selenia was immediately gripped by panic.

It didn't know whether it should try to rescue Asterion first, or try to break through the thorns surrounding it.

However, Selenia did not consider killing the wizard who had suddenly appeared, fearing that he might still be able to use the same methods to trap Asterion.

Anxiety, fear, anger, and a host of other emotions surged into Selenia's heart at the same time.

Suddenly, a sharp, intense pain shot through my abdomen.

The silvery-white radiance surrounding Selenia dimmed briefly.

At that very instant, a dark red flash of electricity lit up behind it.

Quirrell's wand was ready to unleash the spell; he couldn't delay any longer.

Voldemort's voice kept urging him on in his mind.

Quirrell now needs the blood of that Unicorn fetus, otherwise, at the rate at which his life force is being depleted, he will die within a month at most.

"Crackling--"

A faint sound entered Quirrell's ears, unlike the crackling sound of electricity crackling on his wand; it was more like...

Flames burning?

Quirrell caught a glimpse of a small flame in the darkness, its crimson-gold light illuminating the withered thorns.

That is, the instant Quirrell saw the flame.

"Boom!"

The entire thorny canopy was instantly engulfed by brilliant crimson flames.

This sudden sense of unease left Quirrell bewildered, and the arcs of electricity on his wand became erratic.

Quirrell instinctively looked towards a certain spot within the curtain of flames.

A strange creature emerged from the flames, its size comparable to a camel, its body covered in fine, pale golden scales that shimmered with a metallic sheen in the firelight.

A pair of short horns made of white jade on its head have already formed a sharp arc.

His mane, like molten gold, swayed slowly in the heat.

Those crystal-clear eyes shone brightly, reflecting Quirrell's stunned and bewildered expression.

With each step it took, the surrounding heat intensified.

"I want it!"

"Quirinus!"

"This abundant, pure, and flawless life force can help me recover even more!"

Voldemort's almost howling voice echoed in Quirrell's mind, stimulating his nerves like needles.

As if to escape the pain, Quirrell flicked his wrist, and a dark red arc of electricity transformed into a sharp arrow, shooting straight at the strange creature that had suddenly appeared.

"Snap."

The arrow struck precisely, sending faint electric currents crackling across the pale golden scales, and then...

That was the end of it.

The Dark Magic that was supposed to erupt into a giant ball of lightning didn't even pause Liuguang for a moment. At the same time that spell was released, several streams of Purifying Fire erupted from Liuguang's body, transforming into thick, crimson-gold Fire Dragon that rushed towards the hooded figure from multiple angles.

Quirrell hadn't even realized what was happening.

A cold voice exploded in his mind:

"Waste!"

Immediately afterwards, Quirrell felt his control of his body being instantly stripped away.

The eyes visible in the eye sockets of the demon mask instantly turned scarlet, and the swirling black mist surged.

Just a second before being engulfed by the fiery dragon, "Quirrell's" figure twisted and vanished from the spot.

When he reappeared, he was already standing beside the bound Asterion.

With an elegant flick of the wand, a large amount of viscous, silvery-white blood sprayed and splattered from Asterion's neck.

While enjoying the mutated Magic Circuit within his body, a vast and malevolent magical power surged forth.

While bathing in Unicorn Blood, letting it slide off his mask, Quirrell did not lick or drink it.

He now has a better option!
