After a moment of silence, Skylar sighed. "Professor, you're right. I do have ambitions to pursue power. But perhaps you won't believe me—if I hadn't been born into the House of Malfoy, my greatest wish would have been to become an adventurer like Professor Lockhart, exploring ruins and embarking on adventures all over the world. And if possible, I'd write a book about my experiences..."

As he spoke, Skylar became immersed in his fantasy. Yet only moments later, his gaze sharpened again. "But that is nothing more than an impractical fantasy. I was born into the Malfoy family; I am a part of the House of Malfoy. That is an unchangeable fact. So, in order to protect myself and everyone I wish to protect, I must become stronger."

Dumbledore had likely never expected Skylar to answer like that. Even with his composure, he was stunned for quite some time.

After a stretch of silence, Dumbledore smiled faintly and began telling Skylar a little story.

"A long time ago, there was a young wizard who had a happy family and a decent life. When he entered Hogwarts to study magic, he discovered his own talent, and from that came a series of ambitions and ideals..." Dumbledore spoke softly and slowly, as though reminiscing about something. Behind his half-moon spectacles, his pale blue eyes gleamed faintly.

"Several years later, the young wizard graduated from Hogwarts with the finest results... But during those years, many, many misfortunes befell his family, forcing him to set aside his ideals. At the time, his younger sister was still very young. While she was performing magic, she was attacked by three Muggle boys who had witnessed her magical abilities.
