Three days later, Lan Tian arrived on time at the relay station outside Nuoding City's northern gate.
Three or four carriages were already parked outside the station. More than a dozen people in robes of various colors stood beside them, all apparently Soul Masters who had been drafted.
Lan Tian swept his gaze over the fluctuations of their Soul Power. Most were between Three-Ring Soul Elders and Four-Ring Soul Ancestors. The Soul Power fluctuations of the two Four-Ring Soul Ancestors were somewhat more substantial, but they had not surpassed the Soul Ancestor realm.
Several of them wore the same healer-type Soul Master attire as Lan Tian, with medicine pouches and short daggers at their waists. They stood calmly by the carriages, waiting.
An officer in Imperial military uniform stood at the relay station entrance, checking a roster. When he saw Lan Tian approach, he lifted his chin. "Name?"
"Lan Tian."
The officer flipped through the register in his hand, nodded, and marked beside the name. "Four-Ring healer-type Soul Ancestor. Get in the second carriage. Once you reach the camp, follow the rear commander's arrangements. Do not act on your own."
Lan Tian acknowledged him and boarded the second carriage.
Three people were already seated inside: two men and one woman, all healer-type Soul Masters.
One of the round-faced men, who looked to be in his thirties, took the initiative to nod at him. "You're a healer too, brother? I'm Zhou Ping, from east of Nuoding City. My Martial Soul is Angelica Grass. Three-Ring Soul Elder."
Lan Tian took an empty seat. "Lan Tian. Blue Silver Grass Martial Soul."
Zhou Ping froze for a moment. "Blue Silver Grass? That's... a healer-type Martial Soul?"
"Mm. It mutated when my Martial Soul awakened and developed in the direction of healing." Lan Tian casually
