Tiandou would advance from the east, while Star Luo pressed in from the west. Combat-type Soul Masters would move with the armies. They clearly meant to force their way through to the ruins' entrance.
Lan Tian sat in the wounded soldiers' tent, changing the dressing on a young soldier's bandaged arm. Footsteps and shouted orders rose and fell outside, but his hands moved at an unhurried pace.
Blue Silver Grass vines wrapped around the wound as he activated Endless Life. The slash slowly closed under the gentle life energy, leaving only a pale pink scar after a few minutes.
Reports kept coming back from the front.
Caught between the two armies, the Soul Beasts soon broke. The lower-ranked beasts scattered, while experts from both nations surrounded and killed several Ten-Thousand-Year Soul Beasts. The perimeter was clear within half a day.
Without their leader, the Fallen Soul Masters fell apart even faster. A few quick ones escaped into the gullies. The rest were either killed on the spot or captured alive.
The allied forces opened the ruins' entrance at almost no cost.
