Sealing and release

Tian Xuan is Master Chongbi's son and Tai Shan's brother. Master Chongbi sealed him within the God-Sealing Tablet after Tian Xuan repeatedly insisted on entering the Western Huan Illusion Realm to seek Yun Jun, the woman he loved. 905 954

While Jiang Feng was imprisoned in the tablet by Mount Tai Venerable, Tian Xuan approached him under a childish facade—first attempting to claim him as a master, then a brother, and even proposing marriage—before settling on calling him “Big Brother.” He refused to release Jiang Feng, claiming that Jiang Feng was still too weak and needed to cultivate within the tablet. 897

After escaping the tablet himself, Tian Xuan sabotaged Mount Tai Venerable's external incarnation and devastated the Huanliang Star Sea. His stated aim was to occupy Mount Tai for roughly three thousand years, draw Master Chongbi's attention to Jiang Feng's imprisonment, and give Jiang Feng time to cultivate safely. 897 899 908

Conflict with Jiang Feng

Tian Xuan waited for Jiang Feng in the Crimson Flame Immortal Domain, where he gave Xia Youming the Holy Light Venerable Seat and guided her cultivation to curry favor with Jiang Feng. He also helped Dugu Xin advance into the Void Realm. 907 908 923 926

His impatience to reach the Western Huan Illusion Realm eventually turned violent. When Jiang Feng delayed their departure, Tian Xuan destroyed Flying Dragon City and seized Dugu Xin to force Jiang Feng's compliance. Jiang Feng retaliated with the Law of Immortal Space, sealed Tian Xuan's power, and imprisoned him in the God-Sealing Tablet. 927 928

Jiang Feng later released Tian Xuan after an immeasurably time-dilated confinement. Tian Xuan had preserved his sanity by entering slumber, but thereafter recognized that Jiang Feng had surpassed him and could seal him again if necessary. 947 948

Search for Yun Jun

Tian Xuan's true reason for seeking the Western Huan Illusion Realm was Yun Jun, his former dual-cultivation partner. Master Chongbi had killed Yun Jun because he believed their relationship hindered Tian Xuan's cultivation; Yun Jun subsequently entered the Western Huan Illusion Realm as a resentful loose immortal. 953 954

He deliberately left Jiang Feng inside the God-Sealing Tablet so Jiang Feng could cultivate, engineered Mount Tai's distraction, monitored Jiang Feng through hidden tricks, and guarded the Heavenly Demon Tower to prevent Heavenly Demon Venerable from endangering Jiang Feng. 908 920
