After several days of observation and investigation, and reading some of the Divine Radiance Palace's texts on the Dragon-Seeking Art, Hong Yuan had gained a considerable understanding of dragon veins.
A dragon vein was the manifestation of the world's numinous energy upon the earth. Just as blood and qi flowed through the human body, dragon veins were the "blood" of mountains and rivers.
Only this "blood" was formless and intangible, mysterious beyond measure.
The main body of the Divine Radiance Palace's dragon vein stretched several hundred yards. At that size, it was hardly a minor dragon vein.
According to Elder Suqing, even the great dragon veins controlled by the Mystic Court measured only a thousand yards or so.
Yet as Hong Yuan's spiritual awareness circulated and his consciousness mingled with the numinous energy, he sensed something vaguely.
This dragon vein was far too bloated. Its actual "substance" was much smaller than its size suggested, like the skin left behind after a great serpent molted and vanished without a trace.
Before long, Hong Yuan stirred his mind. True qi surged within his Void Aperture, and numinous energy radiated outward. In terms of true qi cultivation alone, he had already reached the peak of Meridian Unblocking.
Once he opened the Conception and Governing Vessels, uniting his upper and lower body, he could establish a Lesser Celestial Circuit.
For Hong Yuan, reaching the Lesser Celestial Circuit presented no bottleneck. Here in the dragon vein's abundance of numinous energy, breaking through would take only three to five days.
Reaching the Greater Celestial Circuit, however, would be somewhat harder. It would require considerable painstaking work.
