Hong Yuan read this description of the Dharma Body and compared it to the Dao Lord of Great Vehicle in the True Immortal Art.
So long as a Dao Lord of Great Vehicle's True Spirit remained undying, they could rise again no matter how many times their Dao Body and Dao arts were destroyed. Moreover, a Dharma Body was only an image and manifestation of the Dao, whereas a Dao Lord of Great Vehicle had already reached the stage of merging with the Dao.
