Background / History

Andreas was the third husband of Carolina Ellis, a thirty-four-year-old unemployed woman with prior convictions for prostitution and organizing prostitution. The couple had no children due to Carolina's physical condition 7.

His marriage was hostile. In the death memories Brian later receives, Carolina is seen smoking, berating Andreas, and pulling his hair while he remains silent. After an argument, Andreas went out drinking and returned home carrying a bloodied hammer 10.

That night, Andreas approached his neighbor, single mother Emmaline Keller, while pretending to be drunk. Emmaline helped him inside and gave him water, but Andreas assaulted and murdered her after she tried to protect her three-year-old daughter, Ellie. He then returned home and killed Carolina with the hammer 10 11.

Andreas denied killing either woman and mistook Brian for an off-book detective seeking a confession. Brian then stabbed him through the throat and carotid artery with a Phillips screwdriver, leaving him to bleed to death 9 10.

The police later found physical evidence connecting Andreas to Emmaline's murder, including her bodily fluids on his clothing and the hammer he had failed to dispose of. The case was closed as a murder-suicide, concealing Brian's role in Andreas's death 24.

Posthumous Obsession

After his body was discovered, Andreas produced an Obsession Orb. His lingering wish was for someone to dance and urinate on Carolina Ellis's grave, reflecting his intense resentment toward his wife 13.

Brian later visited the cemetery to fulfill this obsession. The completion granted him the passive talent Wrath, which can trigger controlled adrenaline secretion during emotional crises and temporarily unlock greater physical strength and speed at the cost of exhaustion afterward 24 25 26.
