Susan is a member of the wealthy Adams Family, which owns most of Los Angeles's high-end hotels. She grew up alongside Vadim O'Sullivan, whom she repeatedly beat in fights before rejecting a proposed marriage alliance between their families. Her rejection stemmed from her preference for people stronger than herself; Vadim later became hostile toward her. 48

She underwent eight years of special training at Ace Base, where she lived in a room later returned to her. Afterward, she served in a VIP protection unit responsible for female relatives of national dignitaries and visiting foreign guests. After a food-truck bombing injures Brian and kills two people, Susan leads Team Six through its first assessment case. She supports Brian's forensic work, coordinates the investigation, and gradually relies on the squad's experience. 20 23 24

Susan investigates Li Sen with Brian, using aggressive interrogation tactics before recognizing that she wrongly mistreated a devoted father. She apologizes and offers him access to her family's private doctor. 27
